This mod requires Soulstorm v1.20

This mod uses the following mods and must be installed to play it:

This mod is a somewhat private hobby that I've been working (alone) on behind the scenes for a while now. It basically retains a similar look and feel to the original Dawn of War Soulstorm while adding new units, voices, upgrades and bringing new strategies to the table.

All races have access to new units and/or upgrades and can research an upgrade at tier 3 to increase their maximum population from 20 to 30.

There was also a bit of work done on Steel Legion to try and bring them up to speed. Unfortunately balance is not quite right yet.

Patch Notes: More comprehensive list

New Units added

Orks: Battlewagon, Gunwagon, Battlefortress, Burna boyz, Skar boyz, Lootas, Grot Stompa and Kommandoz

Sisters of Battle: Retributors and Dominions

Space Marine: Stormraven

Space Marine:

Stormraven can attack air targets and uses a modified default sound file :)

Devastators now have morale broken/recovered voices.

Vanguard and Sternguard squads now deploy with 1 less member. Now affected by bionics upgrades.

Chaos:

Hell Drake Melee removed. Hades Autocannon fire rate increased so it should now be more viable.

Stalk Tank price decreased to 150 requisition and 200 power.

Daemons:

The Daemon Hellspawn now costs 0 population.

Imperial Guard:

Guard Medkit research now appears in Imperial guard armory.

Hellhound's hull machinegun should now match the flame cannon's range.

Imperial Gaurd support Command Squad now also gains benefits from the size upgrade research.

Sisters of Battle:

Sister of Battle Death Cult Assassin moved from barracks to HQ.

Sister's Health research 2 changed to include Dominions.

Repentia have no morale anymore.

Tau:

Broadside XV-88 squad cap cost is now 1.

Tau Vespids now cost 0 pop.

Coalition centre now acts as an orbital relay.

Misc.

Player Defeated and Player Dropped use different sounds.


Now that you have read the above patch notes I would like to ask which I should prioritise now for the next Christmas update. Should I add more units/stuff to another race or work on finally getting in Renegade/Traitor Guard? The race that gets requested will get priority in what gets done!

In the meantime I will be working to integrate a new AI and fix the Big Mek shop space bug... so stay tuned for that mini-fix

hello, it's says dark of skirmish 3.20 is recommended but the actual imperiumofman module doesn't have it, do i have to add it manually? also any news of update/s?

Yup you have to download it manually (it makes the AI more of a challenge). I have done some work but due to RL issues it has been a bit slower :(

Hello there! (No, Obi-Wan, go away!)

I've only just found your mod and I personally really enjoy the idea you are going with this! Sure, having lots of new, unique units and mass armies is cool and yours also has balance and a certain smoothness and sleekness to it... which I really like!

I can only assume and hope that this mod is still an on-going process and am looking forward to future updates!

PS- For some reason, the Space Marine Stormraven is just the Pink Box. Is that an issue with my installation or just not implemented yet?

-Additionally, could the UI ofthe Command Squad of IG be fixed? So that not every member of the Command squad havea face there? It's slightly distracting haha

First of all – Sorry for my terrible English!

Words cannot describe how amazing your work is! Adjusting for the fact that you are doing it alone. Maybe I’m to overreacting – especial if we compare your work with such giants as Firestorm over (Kronus) Kaurava. But! When I heard the new soundtrack and voice-overs, man… you have a great taste and understanding how to express the grim and dark atmosphere of the game. Freaking Fantastic. And we (me and my group) appreciate what you left core of the gameplay unaltered. Well… kind off… again compare to FoK or UA.
My only complain that more whining then complain – is that laser beams of Imperium factions… is white. Its frustrating, but it’s your vision. I just used to the fact that they are red.

But nevertheless, your mod is awesome, so keep up a good work! Me and my friends would like to see where your creativity and decisions will lead your mod.

PS:
By the way! I think you should join forces with some other authors, you know to relieve yourself. How about – that guy who’s trying to import models from DoW2 to DoW1? Its just a thought. As I said – keep the good work, our moral support is with you!

Thank you for your kind words, I am glad you enjoyed it.

The beams are white is because I like to differentiate between the two. Red is a nice colour for chaos while white-blue is a good colour for the Imperium.

There is still lot of work to be done... I'm hoping to give all races more stuff but keep it within vanilla feel xD

10GB are big but in my opionion the best mod for soulstorm and so smooth.
