Re-upload of the 5.1.4 patch, last patch was uploaded when I was drunk and so there were... problems. Many apologies. NOTICE: This includes all patches leading up to 5.1.4. If you're planning a fresh install of TGW, you ONLY need to install 5.1 and 5.1.4.

That will be an installation error or because you have no updated NTW to the latest patch. Start again and be careful. It does work.
If you have ntw on steam doesn't it automatically update your games when steam is restarted? If so, my ntw should be updated but this campaign crashing is still an issue. Just upon selecting campaign it crashes, but everything else seems ok.

Still crashes on battles. It last longer, I can actually play the battle for 10 mins but still CTD.
Try different (i.e. much lower) graphics settings, and use the vanilla custom battle maps. If it doesn't ctd, you're having crashes related to memory shortages.
I have a gtx 680 with 2gb,8gb corsair vengeance ram and a i5 3570k. I am very confident the problem is not my computer. All I have done is custom battles because of crash issues with the campaign in previous iterations.
My advice stands, but if you're averse to momentarily lowering your graphics settings, then you can try playing with different units/factions until it stops CTDing. And preferably, telling us which units/factions, if any, cause the CTD.
I have played most of them but generally I play the germans vs russia. I did try lowering my graphics it still CTD with custom battles but it doesn't have issues with the campaign battles which has me crazy confused as to why.
Some of the custom made battle maps have a very high memory loading. Because programs like N:TW normally cannot exceed a certain memory limit imposed on it by the operating system (if I recall correctly the exact limit is dependent on whether the system is 32-bit or 64-bit), the program will eventually crash if too many things are going on at once, regardless of computer 'specs'. Though why this seems to be related to sound effects, only artillery (in some cases) etc. we can't exactly answer.

I use windows 7 64bit. It just crashed during a campaign battle right at the end of it. Their was less than 1000 units on the field. They were running I was just using artillery. So upset right now. I was so close to having Paris.
The launcher says Apllication not found. I've done everything to try and make it work, even re-installing the mod, but nothing seems to work. Pls Help

Quick question i am so confused, How does one install patches? i figured out how to install the 5.1 mod but how do you install the patches?
Is there no readme included in the download? If not, that's an oversight on our part.
Assuming you're using the launcher rather than manual installation, copy/replace the newly downloaded .pack files over those found in your TGW mod folder. Also, copy/replace the newly downloaded campaign folder (which includes ww1_main) over your data/campaigns folder.

Still having a hard time suppressing unrest because of religion ._.
Now I'm playing as Belgium and I can't recruit a general since there are "No suitable generals available" and the turn count to next available one is set to 0 help D:

Yes, that's a known issue that we unfortunately didn't get to with this patch. The game automatically disbands any unit with less than 5 soldiers after a battle.
Will that be fixed anytime? Would really make a difference in the campaign, which is quite good (though buggy) otherwise at this point.
Hey, I know this is random, but do you think you can make a WWII mod? Like a mod for some future game, or for this game. It would be awesome if you could.
WWII would not suit Total War games because the warfare style was totally different. World War 2 was not large scale pitched battles, it was mostly ambushes, city warfare etc...
But There could be a WWII mod, because I don't want to play that game because the warfare style. If I want a game with good warfare style I would choose CoH. I want a WWII Total War game because it could be really good. But you are right. And the planes would be really hard to do.

Couldn't this be fixed very easily by just setting the number of crew members per tank to five or more?
The fact that they disappear renders them pretty much useless as it is.
I fixed it by going to the dB and editing the unit stats. I increased the number of men per unit from 4 to 6 for tanks as well as MG bunkers. Now they don't dissappear.
And machine bunkers!
Me and a friend can't seem to get the multiplayer aspect to work. It constantly says incompatible versions and we have done the exact same steps of installation. It worked before 1.4 so I'm wondering if it's an update issue.

Campaign for Germany crashes at the 88th turn. I've tried it with multiple saves and new games.
germany crashes the game on that turn whether you play as them or not, the only time it hasnt for me, was when i beat them before that turn

I extracted and installed the mod like it told me to and the 5.1.4 launcher works but when i start the game it allways goes on the original Napoleon (main menu background is from the original and the units) with a ww1 campaing in there. But it allways crashes when it loads a battle/campaing. Did i install it wrongly or?
Awesome mod! But when I installed the patch and opened it it says that I don't have a file called boot.pack. I have it and moved it to my data folder, but no matter what it's the same result. WHAT THE F(beep)?!PLEASE HELP!
