The Great War is a modification for Company of Heroes meant to bring the war two decades earlier. This mod focuses on the later years of the First World War. Currently the two teams will be the British Expeditionary Force against the German Empire, however with time the team will try and bring some more nations in, such as France and Austria-Hungary. This mod will focus or realism but keep the game balanced enough to make it enjoyable. Things to look for in the mod are the famous artillery strikes and the infamous gas attacks. Trenches will provide vital cover for infantry while tanks will roll over the battlefield and instil fear into the enemy troops.

This was never used in combat... I think you need a better military researcher...

And you must be a pretty crappy game designer if you think sticking 100% to historical accuracy makes good games ;)
I don't need to justify my knowledge of WW1 history. It's not like we're always showing stuff 99% of people have never seen or heard about... oh wait, yes, we are!

Now technically it did see combat, although mostly against the romanians, after WW1 with the Freikorps and with the Poles in Silesia.

I have read a long time ago that this Vehicle were also used by German Police in the twentys as a Strassenpanzerwagen/ Sonderwagen. Later in the twentys the german Police used a vehicle with name-Ehrhardt 21,it looks very similar to the E-V/4 .

...and the germans lost the war, so why even try winning as them?

Every game needs a little bit of freedom to make it fun and balanced.

This comment is to GriffinZ, the germans did NOT lose the war, they armistice, which means they requested to end the war. They did get hummiliated by the Treaty Of Versace, however they did not lose.

Do I have to remind you that germans were defeated in 100 days offensive ? They were being pushed all the way out of France and Belgium when armistice was signed. It saved them from complete defeat. Also, all german allies already surrendered by that time.

don_durandal is one of the best ww1 researcher I have ever met, so you made big mistake saying "I think you need a better military researcher" . He knows about ww1 even more than me, although I have spent years on studying ww1 history.
PS
What about that Erhardt - they were used in combat, though not on western, but on eastern front. But that doesn't mean that it can't be included in this mod - germans need some armored car, don't they ? It is still much better than Pershing tank in original CoH, which can be seen in battle of Normandy in summer of 1944, although it wasn't deployed in Europe until beginning of 1945.

Thumb this comment down if you will, I probably have it coming anyway lol, but for some reason, this sort of reminds me of an Ork vehicle from WH40K. It's like a mix between the Looted Tank and the Wartrukk? :P

Orkish Looted Truck eh, aye, I love World War I crude, simple and robust design. Ork love World War I weapons and transport, I guess.

They asked for an Armistice because the tide had turned against them. The German Army was disintegrating, the Allies were quickly advancing towards the German frontier and unrest was rife in the German states themselves.
Ludendorff himself had realised in August 1918, after the Battle of Amiens, that they were going to loose the war.
