Hmm, do you guys think the U.N. Letters should stay on the back of the gun? Seems a little weird to me.

OT, no if you still want the letters they should be engraved into the normal map, that´s atleast what I recomend.
It is wire, not duct tape, L4D style. Anyway, duct tape is grey not white.
I think the UN letters should be textured in like a serial number on a gun. Still there, but not as part of the model.
maybe united nations on the side with, serial number letters.

I think moving it to the skin instead of the model is a good idea and I like the wire on the muzzle. Reminds me of running out of time to do things right. Just like it so happens in the military.
Thats the aim of the wire. Soldiers can't get their hands on professional sporting mounts in a warzone so they improvise with whatever materials they can salvage.
