The First Tiberian War (TFTW) converts C&C Generals: Zero Hour into the original C&C. We aim to make it as close TD as we can using the generals engine and subsequently recreate the passion and enthrillment of the first comand and conquer.
This modification will try to recreate the original gameplay and feel of the original C&C in an extended 3D environment by making a more detailed interpretation of the original ingame C&C universe and using some of the environments as depicted in the original C&C action scenes as inspiration. Generally we are expanding on the original C&C terrain theatres.
Sorry for being quite dormant for a while, seen as I've been extremely busy both education and career wise for the last year and a half we simply didn't have the time to update everyone on the progress of the mod. Faced with having to cut down on the time spent working on the mod we had let news updates suffer rather than mod progress.
Anyway, now that things have freed up a little, I've taken the opportunity to upload a few new screenshots, since the last version we've focused heavily on the quality of the mod, some of the environment (new textures etc), and the interface functionality. By far the most prominant feature of the upcoming version of TFTW will be the interface.
The new interface, in trying to implement a classical C&C 'access everywhere' feature, is based on a RA2/C&C3 interface, that is, a primary selected barracks can be accessed through the infantry tab, a primary selected Warfactory can be accessed through the warfactory tab, etc etc. You can still build units from several production buildings simultaineously, like in C&C 3, however you can only have a shortcut to one production building in each class (this includes if you have the equivelent unit class production buildings from both sides).
In addition, the new interface allows the player to skip through the classic C&C music tracks with a next and previous feature.
Various other improvements made will be elaborated on at a later date.
We have moved CnC-Source. Our forums are there now, and a new site will be there soon. Forums:

This is version 1.5 of Tiberium war 1. Hope ya like it everyone!
ahhh i cant get it to work
i have the first decade version of zero hour
also ive installed the mod and tried runnin zero hour normally from the dvd nd just opens normal zero hour
NEED HELP PLZZZZZZZZZZ
when i try runnin TFTW from the start menu or desktop icon it comes up sayin this message
ive got TFD and got that message two. To fix it go into your Zero Hour folder and change all the file extensions from .TFTW to .big. that should make it work. Just run ZH normally after that and it should run fine. But first go onto folder options on at top and click "show file extensions".
AWESOME MOD! I think it's perfect despite the fact its only an early version. Other then the fact the commando has no weapon :( But otherwise ^^ NICE MOD! GJ!
Hi guys, bit of good-news/bad-news here, first off, the bad, I'm sure a lot of you have noticed things have been slowing down with TFTW, things have improved a lot since the last release but i don't think we're going to make another, there is a level of quality I wanted the mod to reach before the next release that is now unreachable due to the lack of staff for Generals/Zero-Hour mods and the realisation of certain engine limits.
The good news is, not a single bit of what has been done for TFTW has gone to waste, I'm not sure whether anyone noticed but the C&C3 mod, Tiberian Dawn, is now located on the same network as us, I've been providing advice, balance coding and various other help for the last 3/4 months now, and with remake Mods this sort of experience goes a long way.
I'm not ruling out another release as of yet, I may still release it as is, but my own obsession over the perfection for TFTW is holding me back.
hey im wondering does this mod work on generals zero hour from the first decade edition???
after i install the mod and try to run it, a message comes up saying some file is missing????
please help
This mod works with TFD. Thats all I can tell you :/
Don't use the launcher or the other script! Install the mod (in the ZH directory) and run generals ZH the normal way.
How do i get this to work with TFD and Microsoft net framework 2.0 since i have vista?
I wonder if you could make the units...move faster? Or maybe a little would do. I find them moving at a very slow pace a bit annoying. (yes, I'm a fast-paced gamer) ><
Other than that, this mod is great =D
dead?
Nice mod, but apparantly the AI engine is not activated for NOD :(.
They don't even start building.
Also - the black screen below don't seem to contain anything, why it should be taken off. The only thing I can do with it is show/hide it.
Not to mention the soldiers getting killed in about two sec when entering tiberium fields. A bit fast I'd say, but that's a minor issue of course.
