Blitz II is a massive World War II total conversion for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.
You can fight as the Allies, Axis or the Soviets in the biggest World War II mod in existence.
I read the whole thing. A TL;DR for all of you -
Blitzkrieg III will be very different from Blitzkrieg II.
I would say Blitzkrieg II is a scaled-up standard RTS that emphasizes more 'Strategy' than 'Tactics, but Blitzkrieg III will be borderline 'paradox grand strategy' that involves minimal tactics and micro, and a lot of large scale operations.
Zero Hour doesn't remotely support the kind of game logic that is needed here. Starcraft 2 also has better performance UI and it's a more solid engine overall.
I don't really see any downsides to moving to the engine. There's a free version of the game that will allow you to play custom mods so you won't need to buy SC2 to play this new version of Blitz :D
Sounds good. though I recall "unfortantly cant find the save" my one and only victory against Hard AI as the allies. All i can say is thankfully there are para troopers and locust tanks. They saved me and Paris from the Russians.
hopefully you can keep what made Blit 2 fun, and add new dynamics.
Im a bit borderline about the base building idea, as I did really enjoy setting up forts "forts" to hold key positions and Islands.
Air support is awesome, the few times i saw the Soviet air force "Allies never used them" completely tossed a wrench into my plans as I no longer was able to build pure tanks and infantry.
So far I have only read a bit, as I was unable to read it all, but what I have read looks promising.
Will be interesting to see what comes from it, Korona. :)
I'm unfamiliar with SC2, but, I must say, with the ENB series graphic enhancements installed, the old Sage engine (Zero Hour) looks better then ever before...
Will they add the entrench system for tanks and infantry on the new release for Zero Hour? I'm being killed in defense, while in the original Blitzkrieg 2 it was so easy.

it'll also be Starcraft 2 exclusive... which makes me sad...
Don't forget, they're still updating Blitzkrieg II for Generals :)

i'm sorry, did You just say the free version supports mods... :D
Too bad the BlitzCraft Project isn't Blitz3
That's something else, well it was until it died
Well why not call Blitzkraft Blitzkrieg III? :P
You have encountered a serious error... What can i do ?
İ can play Zero hour. But this mode...
Best bet is to wait for the new version and see if that helps you. It should be a month or less.

Time to restart my old project...

Are you still working on this? Sad to see Blizzard's early failures have led to SC2 mod scene underdeveloping, the modding tools are fantastic.
