The Eridanus Insurrection is an Arma 3 Halo-based mod focused on the civil war between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Insurrectionists, various groups of rebel factions amongst the outer human colonies. This mod will include multiple factions, a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, and a custom made terrain (map) for you to play with. Now strap in and prepare to drop into Altis.

Spartan 2 still under consideration, i think.
I expect It would require some pretty heavy code magic to get a spartan that functions like they do in lore.
No Spartans are confirmed not in the mod
Thinking we should change the name of our mod from "The Eridanus Insurrection" to "No Spartans"
Would you people get the hell over Spartans? Theres a ton of mods for them in other games and they would break gameplay in arma if they had their armor (that and the spartan II's would NOT have any armor as lore wise it hadn't been made yet and the only role they played against the Innies was as assains stealing uniforms and sneaking into places).
To be fair, that's why I'd love to see them. I don't want spartans because of how they were post-covvie encounter, I'd just want to see them how they were when they captured Colonel Robert Watts. However I think as far as timelines go the spartans would have been far too young to partake in the actual Eridanus Insurrection.
Hey that could be fun. Units you could play as that ran a bit faster and longer doesn't wear any armor and solely sneaks around. not sure how it would work though.

How will the sniper act? In the games and lore its bullets didn't stop for anything or anyone and had fairly low recoil for its power, (i.e. Sergeant Johnson shooting it while balanced on a hornet). Will it act like the other arma rifles or will it be a near straight line with extreme piercing power.

I'm glad they aren't adding spartans to the mod, be cause for one if you want to play as a spartan go play the actual game, two they'd be too op if true to the lore and it just wouldn't be fun, and three Im pretty sure they made this mod to give halo fans everything they wanted to do in the games but couldnt, like fly a pelican or play as someone other than a spartan.
