finally an american AA unit that's not as crapy as the avenger. i actually can't stand this unrealistic laserstuff...
Avenger is available for the Laser Weapon System so it is not out :P
you know, sometimes unrealistik thingh are good to, more diference beetwen sides, and if its balanced and you can win ( if you play good) you feel some satisfaction that tou can win without all this lazers, plazma and other wierd things)
Total realism is not always the best because that would compromise gameplay. There are no games that can be total realistic because it would not be balanced (Air force would kill all), artillery would shoot across entire map, there has to be some creative license.
But as for this unit, it looks interesting, kind of Chaperell (SP?) inspired, but cooler looking.

So true,what would real Chinese nuke do to whole map? Even there own base would get destroyed :P
hey kids, mark my words, i didn't say ANYTHING against adjusting proper units to the game so you'd be able to play without erasing the entire map. all i said was "i don't like this laserstuff". the avenger uses missiles (in reality), so why gives ea lasers to him? why not start with anti-matter or myons or any ******** like that?!
@alexei: i'm glad you kept russia close to reality. you can't imagine how pleased i was to see russia uses for example gasrefineries (and not these odd antimatter-reaktors like in "rise of the reds")...thx a lot
