ear 2552... The Earth is no longer habitable since year 2401 due to the its atmosphere collapse and temperature rise.

Human race has been forced to live in the different colonized planets into the Solar System. This was called "The Second Exodus".

After the 'Enceladus Atmosphere implementaion Program' (EAIP) succeeded in year 2295, Aperture Laboratories developed their more ambitious testing program, The Enceladus Initiative.

Even though extreme cold conditions are still uncontrollable in a 40% of Enceladus, there's liquid water produced during the EAIP in a almost a 35% of its surface, enabling the proper ecosystem for human being subsistence and many other life forms...

Gravity conditions are similar to the Earth's, although gravity force as well as electromagnetism in Enceladus are slightly different depending on the region, enabling extraordinary and mysterous events in certain areas...

Mod status

It has been more than 3 years now since I simply couldn't find the time to map. I have a beautiful and absolutely lovely child who is 3 years old and 4 months, and this was what kept me away from mapping.

Many things have happened in all this time, but I never lost illusion for continuing making maps. I had already decided to focus only in my mod instead of making random P2 maps before this pause on mapping, and I've been developing many things I had in mind during this period. A month ago or so I could finally start revising all instances, models and ideas and polished it all a lot until I got everything working as I wanted.

I am now making the maps for the workshop. I think this is slightly more difficult than to arrange everything to be a mod, since there's the limit of 100MB per map and I've got hundreds of MB of custom content. Luckily, after I limited the usage of textures, rooms and stuff, I managed to reduce the map sizes within the limit :) However, my idea is to anyway release this stuff as a mod, but that will be later, after having developed at least around half of the total number of maps.

There's still a lot work to do, but I'm happy to say that everything is now in a good status.

What's next...

I'll release 3 maps at the same time. The 1st of them will be sort of an introduction, with few gameplay, mainly based in cut scenes to show the beginning of the story. The 2nd one is a tutorial map about how to use some new puzzle elements. And the 3rd one would be the very first real map.

All these 3 maps will take place in a temple. This is where the story begins. There is no portalgun in the beginning and no portals of course.

And there will be more maps in this temple.

This is all I can say for now...

I'll post some screenshots soon meanwhile I finish the first map batch.

Greetings,

It has been at least two years since the last update... I wish to know if this mod is either still being worked on or is already cancelled... Your last update made it clear that you have been busy with real life events, which is understandable. I just wanna know if this mod is still coming or not... The work you have put into this has been truly outstanding, and it would be a shame if it never saw the light of day... But I completely understand if this being completed is no longer a possibility...

Oh, so you're back? I got the idea that some of the maps on the workshop were meant to be part of the mod and you put them there instead.

I don't know how you have the patience to make these maps, especially with a child to take care of, who was probably a baby when you last made a map.

They're stuffed with all these fancy designs and stuff. And with all the times people used to break the maps as a joke competition. I get extremely frustrated with glitches in my maps.

Anyway, I'd like to see what eventually comes out of this.

I love the mod! the things that i like are: it has it's own storyline, style, textures and etc. I don't know how all mappers are working on Hammer and Source, i think a lot. I wanna see the mod come out as soon as possible! Good luck and continue make one of the greatest mods EVER! :D

P. S. - I wanna back the warm style. Cold is something typical, just my preference for the mod.

To start preparing for the community release, check the ol' suggestion box. The #1 request: less difficult tests. The #2 request, shorter tests (or at the least fewer of them...how many maps are planned to be in the mod?).

I remember there was a point I could get trapped in the demo map while trying for the easter egg. I have a new guide out for you, and if you want, I could beta-test for various things, as well as customize soundscapes....
