Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
This match started with 5 human players against 3 Extreme Hard AI players. As you might have guessed, it didn't last long.
Who won the match?
If the score board is to be believed... the AI beat them hard.
That is right. One AI 1v2's both me and Bidroid and killed us both in 5 minutes, while at the same time another AI killed MiniMinion. After that Bittah and ChronoSeth were in a 2v3 against 3 Extreme Hard AIs.. and well, you see result ;)
That doesn't surprise me considering a machine will always be faster than a human unless you don't make it that way. heh
Well in this case with an "extreme" AIs it is more the cheating factor.
Extreme AIs build all buildings twice, thus they can massively profit from the cloning bug where 2 factories can build 2 units simultaneously.
Human factories can't build multiple units at the same time.
Even outnumbered that type of A.I. will win lol
I'm sure it'll still with with a 7v1 match (1 being the A.I.).
Nah, it would be easy to beat a single hard extreme AI with 7 human players, unless all of those human players are quite unskilled.
With the extreme AI option enabled, it produces about twice as many units as it would normally, which means it should be beatable by 2 human players, depending both on the map and the skill of the human players.
The AI is actually particularly tough on the map we were playing on for some reason (Delirious Island), so we likely even would've even had a hard time without the extreme AI option enabled (and we could have stood a chance on a different map, with the extreme AI option enabled).
Does the AI still prioritize the host?
It never did that in TS (and as such DTA); that bug is there only in RA2.
Edit: I didn't realize I hadn't logged in. Oh well =P
haha crazy
