Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.

Description

This is the full version of The Dawn of the Tiberium Age v4.12.9; all files necessary to play are included, so you also don't need to have the original game installed. To install the mod, simply extract all files to an empty folder and run DTA.exe to play.

Thanks a milloin!!I can finally play in Win8, love you so much! Plus, there is still a bug, I still can't click option or press ESC while playing, if I do this, the game will pause and I can't do any thing, the option menu will not show and the game is not processable any more

The options menu is likely still there, but the buttons are invisible. With some work you can memorize where each button is and click on them, although we know that it's very annoying. We will keep looking for possible fixes for the invisible menu issue.

(Although I have to mention that the invisible menu doesn't affect everyone either; for example none of my systems get it, which makes fixes more difficult to test.)

Yeah I know the problem.

Another problem that might occur (in TS-Draw mode), is that when you press the escape button, it takes about 10 seconds before the menu screen appears. When you press on one of the menu buttons, again it takes about 10 seconds before you go to the next menu screen. And this happens for the entire menu.

You and Bittah_Commander deliverd fantastic work so far. But a fix for both menu problems would be very welcome (I know you guys are working for an answer).

There's not really any place where this image can be used ingame, so I'm afraid not.

Have you checked whether you get this problem with all of the renderers?

It's also possible that you get better results in windowed mode, so I suggest you give that a try as well.
Mind that you can play in full-screen windowed mode by also enabling "Borderless mode" and then making the window resolution match your desktop resolution.

Please add the following units: private ships to transport troops and vehicles, spies and spy planes and satellites, parachuters . And increasing the power of nuclear missiles they are very weak. And thank you.

The engine does not support vehicles (including ships and aircraft) carrying other vehicles.
Your other unit suggestions aren't supported by the engine either, short from possibly spy planes (although it wouldn't be possible to shoot those down if they were added).

Nuklear missiles are as powerful as they are in Tiberian Dawn multiplayer (which was far less powerful than the one-time-use only singleplayer version) and Red Alert.
For the game balance it works best this way, because if a nuke was dropped on _your_ base and would instantly destroy an important structure, it'd take all the fun out of the game.

Yes, but in terms of ships carrying soldiers and vehicles, not necessarily that you add new units can be made one of the ships in the game you move soldiers and vehicles and should be on the one ship that can accommodate five units at least and without the abolition of basic and lowly. It means to choose from each country warship to do so. You should know that this is very important in some maps, for you when you play against an enemy exists in a separate island and far from the beach, you need to transfer units to facilitate attack him, I know it can be attacked by aircraft, but this needs to be a very large number of aircraft to resolve battle, and I know it can be moved by helicopter units but no one helicopter transporting only one vehicle, and therefore, you need either a long time to complete the transfers or a large number of helicopters and thus to a lot of money. ok there is an error I want to point out to him: When my son Developement center and then the enemy destroyed, all the advanced units remain present and nuclear weapons remains exist, ie when I do I build a development center and then I sell it directly is not caused any harm to me, good for a nuclear weapon remember it must be the most powerful weapon in the game and thus you can multiply his strength two or three times and doubled its price two or three times and energy needed to make to get it very difficult doubled, and do not forget that you can play the abolition of nuclear weapons in the list of choices before the start of the game Of course this is for those who want to play without a nuclear weapon.

As mentioned before, the engine does not allow ships to carry vehicles and there's nothing I can do about this.
You're best off using a Chinook to transport an MCV to the other island, deploying it and then building a war factory there.

The fact all advanced structures and units remain available when a tech center is destroyed or sold is also an engine issue (meaning there's nothing I can do about it), but this "problem" has existed in every single C&C game before Red Alert 2, meaning that this was most likely done on purpose.
Keep in mind that if you lose the tech center, the advanced structures will no longer be available after the lose a Construction Yard and rebuild it (same thing if you un-deploy it and then redeploy it) and the same thing goes for vehicles when you lose your War Factory and then rebuild it.

Most people play with super weapons enabled and most of them are not going to like it if an enemy's super weapon can instantly destroy their Construction Yard or another important structure and thus sometimes allow a player to instantly decide the game without having to attack with a single unit.

Yes, thank you, there is a problem: when I play with 4 or more states and shortly after the start of the game shows me ERROR: " internal error " or " main executable for tiberian sun " And the game stops working. Please, is there a way to solve this problem ?

Upload the files "except.txt" and "DTA.log" from your DTA directory somewhere and give us a link to the files.

I think I found the solution to the problem of the game stopped it a compatability problem Thank you anyway, but there is another problem which is simple: GDI (AI player) and NOD (AI player) They do not build their own gold refinery, but the refinery for the Soviets, and bridges can never be destroyed even if you so choose in the list of choices. Thank you .

It shouldn't be necessary to touch any of the compatibility settings.

Because of engine limitations all AI players are forced to share the same refinery. As a work-around the AI's refinery will always look like that of the faction you're playing as (so if you're GDI or Nod, the AI will use a TD refinery as well and if you're Allies or Soviet, the AI will use a RA refinery).

would it be possible for the corpse to stay in the background

No, it would be too heavy for the game engine to handle and draw thousands of dead infantry on the ground. It would eventually slow the game down enough to make it unplayable.

No, you need a mouse (and a keyboard too, if you want to use hotkeys). RTS games are horrible on controllers anyway =P
