Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
This is the full version of Dawn of the Tiberium Age v7.1: all files necessary to play are included, so you also don't need to have the original game installed. To install, simply extract all files to an empty folder and then run DTA.exe to play.
Hallo,
I just downloaded this update and played Dark Prospects in Skirmish, enhanced mode as Allies vs. Soviets and the game has crashed twice so far.
Usually, the game hardly ever crashes on my computer, but this time, two crashes, less than five minutes into the game and two different errors ("runtime error" and an "unexpected error").
Hope you guys are able to find the bug here. ;)
It might be an issue on the specific map you played. We'll look into it!
After a brief investigation, we found at least 3 mapping errors on Dark Prospects that can cause the crashes you mentioned. We'll fix them with an update in the future. Thanks for reporting the crash!
Thanks, Rampastring! Dark Prospects works great now.
Please look into Downtown Warfare as well. I have experienced the same issue there. It is a similar urban map and it could be that it suffers from the same mapping error.
Thanks!
It indeed does. Thanks for pointing it out, we'll fix it in a future update.
I've now also written a tool for automatic detection of this issue in maps so the chance of this specific crash slipping into official DTA maps should be far less probable starting from the next patch.
Lol, now if we loading save in "Lesson In Blood" and capure radar - we get nothing. Why on "Distant Thunder" enemy have same color with player? Its really confucing. And can you make PS1 UI, stretching lower screens to fullcreen (units too small on 1920x1080), and make more coop maps?
When we loaded game on "Distabt Thunder" we get strange bug, he play game where I afk, I play game where he afk.
Can you disable enemy base repairs until we arrive at base in Chrono Hazard?
