The Ancient Age is a Total Conversion Mod for Age Of Empires III TAD about the Ancient Times, which will be made by Tilanus Commodor, Ca Putt & others. Almost everyone of us started just with a minor basic knowledge. The Ancient Age is not an Age Of Mythology or Age Of Empires I Remake. Nevertheless the Age Of Empires Series is among other RTS-Games a true inspiration for us. It is our aim to include five new civilisations: The Carthaginians, Celts, Hellenes, Persians and Romans. Besides we are willed to develop an unique gameplay, which will be a good contrast to other mods and the original game. This includes for example a new building & unit system. Since the modification plays in a completely different age you can expect a lot of new material. More details will be revealed when the time is better, but for now we better go back to work - in silence.

No... Moddb editors are normal, it's just an embeddable html editor, such as WYMEditor - Wymeditor.org
<- one needs to learn how to handle it. W/o it, you couldn't make web pages inside Moddb portal. ;-)

i downloaded it and it did not work is it for a exp game or the normal game and do i need 2 have a patch for it
You need both expansions (Asian Dynasties and Warchiefs), and no patches are needed.

i follow the install instructions exactly but when i extract the winrar files in the AoE file, i get tonnes of errors and no 'my games' folder?! plz help

I tried and it's pretty cool. I can see all the work in here, so I really look up to you folks!
Besides some unimportant details as characteristic sounds and pics when using troops, I have a major problem though. I can't use my town hall to get over the first age, so I'm stuck in there and can't do almost anything because the majority of buildings need you to move to the second age to be constructed. When I click on the II button it just won't do anything, although I have wood, coin and food. Do you know how to sort that out?
