English instructions for (Steam) Rise of Nations: Extended Edition mod installation:
1. Download Terrain 5 Extended: YNK
2. Run Terrain_5_Extended_NK.exe
This is an unzipping program. It is all in Russian but all you need to know is that the bottom left button is for "Go Next", while the bottom right button is "Cancel".
3. After starting Terrain_5_Extended_NK.exe, select the destination to extract all your files into and "Go Next" till the end
You can either directly extract into your Rise of Nations directory (you will be done the installation immediately if you do it this way) or just extract them to the current folder and copy them into your Rise of Nations directory after.
4. Assuming you did not extract into your Rise of Nations directory, you should have two new folders in your current directory: "art" and "terrain art"
5. Copy "art" and "terrain art" into your Rise of Nations steam directory; overwrite all older files (if you want, you can make a back up of these files before completing this step)
6. You are done!
From what I understand of the creator's responses to questions, the Terrain 5 Extended YNK edition contains all improvements he has made for the original non-Steam version.
For reference, your Rise of Nations steam directory should be similar to this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Rise of Nations

Good things: This is a VERY good mod and truly revitalizes the graphics. I bought RoN:EE on Steam and all my friends use this mod now. Truly 10/10 mod, thank you Azangara for your work.
Bad things: No clear English instructions on how to install. Also, it is not clear that RoN:Extended Edition uses Terrain 5 YNK. You should make it more clear that 'Terrain 5 YNK' = 'Terrain 5 Extended Edition'.
My own question for you Azangara: does 'Terrain 5 YNK' already include 'Extended data', 'Extended terrain', 'Extended patch', and 'Extended rivers'? Or do I have to install these plus 'Terrain 5 YNK'?
