Due to to the recent events of happenigns, Sagman, Bennett-Robbins, Oppenheim and Taft (our law firm) has advised us to issue this statement:
Neil Barney and Within Oak Studios will be "going" separate ways now.
Because of this, the Obturaculums mode is being cancelled.
We have been getting a LOT of questions from, fans so here's an FAQ:
Why did Neil Barney leave the studios?
Within Oaks has been struggling with the mode market recently and deicded to reinvent themselves by focusing on "Alone in The Dark: The New Nightmare" modes. Combined with an ongoing dispute about Obturaculums budget, following the financial fiasco of Obturaculum (1), Neil decided to pursue his personal projects.
What will happen with regard to Obturaculums?
Within Oak Studios Co., Ltd. will continue to develop the OBTURACULUM series, just not in the way it is being expected.
What do you mean by “tech demo”?
The tech demo was a trial edition of Obturaculum intended to give players an idea of the game concept, but it was NOT related to the actual mode.

Because of the community response to T.D, I will not be making Obturaculums.

I am sorry, but this is just a blatant rip off from Hunting Ground Aftergame
Both this mod and HGA were referencing P.T., so saying that this is a blatant rip-off of HGA just shows your lack of knowledge.
Please stop being salty about HGA wherever you go, it's completely irrelevant here and ruins the fun for others.
They didn't rip-off of HGA's PT level, we both made a rip-off level of the original PT demo. And I played this and I loved it.
Honestly, I think it was impulsive of me and I did not think it through. I was still a bit fired up from HGA. However, I will always stand by the points that I made on the page of HGA. And yes that had nothing to do with this mod.
I'm not going to delete my comment here, I do think I shouldn't have done that, but to delete it would be cowardly.
With careful consideration, I cannot prove that the developer ripped HGA off, which I thought because the map looks almost identical. The developer could have made the map by his/her self. But I thought this was too much of a coincidence, since HGA was released just a while ago and this suddenly popped up with a map that looks identical.

Well if the Amnesia community wasn't that lazy and rate the mods they are playing HGA would finally show the correct average review. I have never seen a more lazy community, 250 downloads and only 13 reviews = lazy community...
The reason why some people that rated HGA didn't like it was because of the backtracking, and that's weird because ALOT of horror games has backtracking, second, how the story was told. for some weird reason the Amnesia community don't like a CS to have a complicated story, many wants the story to be given to them right in the hand, with no specualtions for the player what so ever. THAT is NOT how I want to write storys anymore. YES there where one puzzle that got frustrating because the note gave the wrong information but that is fixed now with the new version.
And by the way, stop naging on CustomStoryGathers for his breathing and what country he is from! That's just immature. How old are you? 10?

It's a horror game from 10 years ago that only like, 5 people make mods for it, and no wonder why. It's a dead game. It's not that the community is lazy, it's that the community is small and dead.

Okay, I would love to see you make an actual mod that is better than HGA. What you have made, I cannot call mods at all.
But you definitely should make a serious mod and proof that your statement is valid.
My skills have nothing to do with the qualities of other people's mod and my right to judge it.

Yeah I even got a troll to rate HGA 1/10 only because I rated his troll mod a 1/10. That troll mod was in fact bad :D My score for that mod was going to be low etherway because for me troll mods can never be good, but that one was also a bad troll mod. I guess he got angry because I rated his mod and for that he down rated HGA. If the Amnesia community wasn't that lazy that low troll score wouldn't affect HGA that much... but the Amnesia community is what it is... Once we are done with the DLC for HGA we will instead work on our own game :)

Bro, those mods of him/her were just 5 minutes troll mods of mocking other developers. In Verberalis he/she even admitted that he/she made alt accounts to be toxic and solicit responses of actual good developers, which he then placed in Verberalis. Absolute toxic person he/she is.
