Welcome to The Cosmic Mystery Serial! Season 1: The Stone Orb Episode 1: Twin Brothers' Mine This mod is the first installment of a series I plan to me working on over a decent amount of time. Please enjoy it and do let me know if there is anything wrong with it. In the beginning of the mod, you'll receive a note that is written by a character named, Alexander Bullit. This note will appear in the beginning of each story, but the character you play as will change. In this story, you will play as Rolando Barnes as you delve deep into the Twin Brothers' Mine Shaft on a dare, but will return with a certain treasure. Think carefully about certain situations, and remember that death is not as permanent as you'd think.
Hello guys and girls,
Now that Episode 1 is running along smoothly (to some degree), I can focus more of my attention on Episode 2. What I can tell you now is that Episode 2 will be different in structure to this one. I'm shooting for a sort of open-world-ish structure. By open-world, I mean that you don't have to follow one particular path. In the next one, I'll have multiple ways of achieving the resolution of the story. It's my attempt at switching things up a bit.
I won't post a separate update about the mod yet, rather, I'll keep some of its information here until I feel I've made enough progress to do otherwise, but expect slightly larger things from my next mod than in this one. It ought to be fun.

These patches will be in response to things such as permanent death and others.

I did some minor fixes at the requests of you guys. Fixes include some models that were not present due to file removals.
You guys asked, and despite my seeming otherwise, I heard. Permadeath is officially DEAD! That's right, permadeath has been replaced by a checkpoint system...
Here is a patch for the mod which I released a few weeks ago. The patch includes various bug fixes along with the addition of new events.

I must say, Im really enjoying it so far and I agree with KiraImmortal's review. This custom story definitely doesnt deserve the rating it got. One question: there is now a lantern in the custom story right? I found some oil but not yet the lantern.
I'm sure you've probably found it already, but yes, there is a lantern.

Yes, I did what I could, and also abolished the permanent death system. No bugs on my end, but if I hear anything new, I'll fix them.

The level after the Temple with the maze like hallways and few doors that open has me stumped. The one room with four beds and four chests at the foot of each bed has one chest with a key, but when I pick it up it does not go into my inventory. Another chest has what appears to be a small button but I cannot interact with it. Comment?
Also, the button was something I accidentally left in there. I was going to place a button puzzle in the Temple, but I decided against it.
Okay, this part is a puzzle. The key will have two illusion keys that you will have to access first. After clicking on those two, there will be a real key that spawns somewhere. After clicking on the key in the chest, try looking in the chemical lab looking area for the next one.
