Galactopticon is a single-player sci-fi comedy FPS starring a gang of hard-boiled interstellar pirates. The epic storyline will be supported by gameplay elements such as ironsight aiming and an RPG-style branching dialogue system.

Photoshopped HUD concepts.
The gun caption is something that would only pop up when you pick up a weapon for the first time. Weapon-switching graphics will show up at the top of the screen like usual.

I like it, and personally I think it would be nice if you did have this as a replacement for the default weapon category system. I'd also suggest removing references to weapon caliber, but that's just me being picky.
