The petting zoo seems complete now... Big thanks to mp5lng and his "The Armed Zone" mod for creating the whole weapon!

I dont get whats the deal with this weapon. Everyone seems to freak out about it. I just find it extremely ugly. (As the weapon itself, your model has nothing to do with that)
Hi,
If you mean the weapon configs, they have been completely rewritten for matching the real ones, keeping the line drew by Shoker . The base concept is: every weapon is lethal, from Makarov to Dragunov, so there will be no more mags emptied on the enemy and no kill. Well, if you're not against a pseudogiant, of course.
What? No, dude, nothing about configs or anything. I mean I dont understand why people are so obsessed with this gun, as in, every Mod needs to have it included.
And I just think that the gun is pretty ugly :D
Wait, you're saying that a Makarov can oneclip a bloodsucker? :O
Holy **** i luv makarov !
Hi,
not exactly, if you have played any S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game you will notice that you've got to empty nearly an entire magazine on an enemy for killing it, especially with "low-end" irons. With Shoker mod this distinction has been eliminated: you can kill a pseudogiant with an AK, but it will take obviously more ammo and time than an AS Val with armor piercing ammo. There are more variables than the "class" of the weapon that determines the damage output. This has been made because with this the gamer can find its ideal weapon regarding his personal gaming style or what he likes.
So an Abakan is as good as a G36, damage-wise?
Not exactly.
Taken from in-game settings:
G36
hit_power = 0.25
hit_impulse = 1
hit_type = fire_wound
Abakan
hit_power = 0.3
hit_impulse = 1
hit_type = fire_wound
Abakan has an higher fire rate, but with this hit_power value the weapon will deteriorate faster than G36.
Also, G36 has double scope, and Abakan 2-round burst, and Abakan has a slower bullet exiting the barrlel than the G36 one.
The matter is:
if I start the game with a Makarov, why I have to change it? In this way lower end weapons have a chance to stand against some "big" targets.
I see. It's basically good for people that want to run around with the AKS-74U all the time :D
