  • No economy! You buy and upgrade your troops at the start of each round from a fixed pool of Requisition. There are no Tier or Power requirements.
  • No fluff! RPG elements have been removed, and where possible abilities have been either made ambient (Fleet of Foot) or removed entirely (Kraken Ammo).
  • Fast, focused action! Maps are smaller and weapons deal more damage, but with only half their normal range.

half the range? oh, come on!
it's like bullets tend to stop after 20 meters.
I have yet to try this mod, but this I don't think I'll like =/

The Troops in Ground Controll had pretty High Ranges ;P

Well i have a problem starting the mod and i think it is because i dont own DoW II (only Chaos Riseing) so when i run the Launcher I get to Steams "Buy DoW II" page

Is there any Hope?

Yes, I can see now that only owning CR would be a problem. But don't worry: you can still launch the mod manually by following the instructions in the readme. :-)

(Ground Control also had very sparse maps and fog of war BTW, and most units were quite nippy too. With slower troops and dense, cover-filled maps shorter weapon ranges becomes a real benefit in design terms.)
