The mod lean towards historical accuracy, but focuses more on game-play with missions both completely fictional & some loosely based on real events. Tacos Mod Alpha-7 Released

It took a little more time than usual, but it's finally here. Alpha-7 version of Tacos Mod is now available!

One of the more prominent additions in this version is the flamethrower.

Better than in the WIP video I hope.

It burns pretty much anything it touches, barring a few objects & structures. It behaves more realistically than most flamethrowers in games, as it projects a line of flammable liquid that is on fire, which engulfs the area of impact in flames. It is extremely dangerous to use in melee range & the operators have a bad tendency of getting shot a lot in my experience, mostly due to it's limited range.

There are three more missions added by this version.

  1. Granit. A campaign mission set on top of the Eben-Emael fort & a portion of it's bunker-complex. This is where you get to use the flamethrower, on Belgians. You also get to blow up some cannons.
  2. Hostile Sphere. This a campaign mission set in the rural area south of Rotterdam. You clear the road & surrounding areas of Dutch soldiers stalling the German advance. This is the first mission in the campaign where you will fight armored units.
  3. Bumblebees. This is a bonus mission where you control 2 soviet commandos & is tasked with destroying German self-propelled-guns. You are heavily out-gunned, but have a lot of terrain to sneak around in.

There has been a major over-haul of weapon statistics to make them more distinct & also to significantly improve close-quarters-combat.

  • Pistols have been buffed to make them actually useful. Still can't do much outside of close-quarters.
  • Sub-machine-guns now have better close-quarters statistics, but worse long-range statistics. They now behave more like close-quarters weapons, instead of sub-par machine-guns.
  • Machine-guns are now much less accurate when standing up. SMGs are now the run & gun weapon. MGs are still incredibly deadly, but you now need to set them up properly.
  • Rifles no longer 1-hit-kill targets in close-quarters. Riflemen no longer dominate sub-machine-gunners at every range.
  • Sniper-rifles have had their long-range statistics buffed. Riflemen are no longer as good as snipers at long-range.

A lot more was added as well, such as many new weapons, helmets, uniforms & grenades.

That is all, hope you enjoy this update.
