T-Rex Posture Edit Mod
Full Version 2 commentsThis mod corrects the T-Rex's skeleton so its posture and animations are more akin to the T-Rex in the movies.
The default T-Rex's posture/skeleton has its upper body slightly pointing upward, probably to give the illusion of it being tall compared to the other carnivores. Originally the point was to correct that skyward pointing, upper body posture. Then some corrections led to it looking and moving like the Tyrannosaurs from the movie franchise.
The changes this mod brings include: Upper body and tail posture edits across all of T-Rex's animations as well as new back pedaling and grab animations. The posture edits effect animations across the board.
To install, just copy the Models folder to your Data folder. It will use any skin already used by TRex in your Matlibs folder. I highly suggest using film style skins since they go well with the changes.
This mod is compatible with any mod that doesn't replace or add any Judithriver B models or tkl file. If you wish to add a creature to the digsite, you'll need to utilize the TKL merger tool by HENDRIX.

When I install the mod and enter the game, the trex animation starts to get out of control and is not stable. Is there a solution?
I mean it gets out of control when it starts spinning
Thank you so much for this mod, I was pretty annoyed about the t-rexs posture before this mod released.
Just the posture? Or the model?
Just the posture for the default rex. In the addon, I only edited the head of the male rex model and adjusted the sizes for both the male and default rexes
¿Can you made the head look more similar to JP movies?
I already did that for the male addon (just the for the male Rex though)
The only problem with the original's posture seems to be the slight upwards tilt of the torso which then leads to the neck and head being held higher than it should.
Your rex has a really nice looking posture if the rex was looking down at something; in most scenes of the movies the rex is looking down at the humans thus giving the neck a droopy appearence and the back a slight hunch. However, the rex does indeed hold it's head fairly straight but still in a slightly upright position. Check TLW scene of the male rex when its walking down the street going to drink and the ending beauty shot with the rex family. In both shots the male isn't focused on anything directly and thus you can see its default posture.
My advice would be to lessen the hunch in the back and raise the neck up. Good work though, the modding community needs more animators.
I see what you mean, I will edit the back to decrease the downward bend and hunch. Thanks for the timely feedback!
