Its has been some time since i found this fabulous mod and I think one could call me atleast somewhat experienced, I've got my fully mandalorean armor and In melee I'e got a bastard Lightsaber, no actually I've got lukes Lightsaber, but that's besides the point, since I've started with a westar I've leveled up in pistols quite a lot, could've been a mistake but well, now i'm a pistoleer^^ but to be honest I've got no idea what pistol to use. atm i'e got a heavy modified DL-44 which i'e found fairly usefull but i'm not quite convinced. same goes for rifles, many of my companions use rifles but I'm not able to define what's the best choice for them

What's your blaster of chioce?
both rifle and pistol.

Well. For the next version all weapons have been rebalanced in order to follow canon, so things will change a little. To be precise it will be totally faithful to the movies and the expanded universe.

So, if we talk about the next version, the Westar-34 is the best hand blaster. Really good power, and really quick firing rate for a pistol. Though you will find it's difficult to find, and very expensive. The DH-17 is also really good if we take it as hand blaster, but it's in fact a boarding rifle. But at the same time the DL-44, especially if modificated, is a weapon you can always relly on, overall for its power.

If we talk about rifles the DC-15A might be the most reliable one. Powerful, quick fire rate, good accuracy and somewhat cheap for what it is. It's probably the best in relation of those 4 parameters. The T-21 light repeating blaster is quite good as well, as it makes use of even more powerful blasts while holding a considerable firing rate. But the most devastating per shot is the DLT-19. This rifle, though having no more than 6 shots per charge, is a deadly weapon even in hands of NPCs. The E-11 is also an interesting weapon, though it's not very accurate it is not as expensive as others, and can deploy really good firepower.

So personally (if not minding about the price) I would use a westar-34 and a DC-15A. All this of course talking about weapon stats on the next version.

What about the DLT-20A? That is my favorite rifle in the current versions. It has power rated between the DLT-19 and T-21, high ammo capacity, high accuracy, and decent speed rating. I thought it is the best all-around rifle, though it is on the expensive side.

Yes, it is maybe the best all round rifle. I think it was... 30 shots per charge? Which is acceptable, with a good fire rate, good accuracy and important damage. But if you are taking into accout long rifles such as the DC-15A and the T-21... these last 2 are better.

I go T-21 all the way, though the custom firing position makes it hard to hit stuff sometimes.

As for pistols... I barely use them, but when i do it's a Trandoshan Supressor Gun

seems I haven't been too far off the intended choice afterall. so far I had a Westar-34, a heavy modified DL-44 and now a balanced(or heavy, not sure) Stun-DH-17.

for rifles my companions actually have: heavy/balanced DLT-20A s, T-21s and one has a heavy DLT-19 with scope. the DLT-19 stats looked far inferior to the T - 21 to me, everytime I looted a bunch from imperial troops, but I presume that'll be changed in the next version.DC-15A did not appeal to me aswell but I'll definately buy one when I see a heavy/balanced one on the market.
on a side note, is there a reason the T-21 is seldomly looted? I've got a fairly high loot stat but even if I kill dozens of imperial Gunners(who do use them!) I've never had one on the loot screen :(
why buy an E-11? with a minimal loot and some hostilities with the empire or some Stormtrooper deserters you get some for free^^ sometimes even balanced ones :)

thanks for the replies, it helped me a lot :)
