SWAT: Elite Force is a massive overhaul of SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, making it into a more realistic tactical police simulator.
So far, there have been nine unique pieces of equipment added to v7, including the SCAR-H, pictured. Additionally, lightsticks almost never fall through the floor anymore.
Suspect AI is improved. If a suspect is not watched and there is no nearby weapon, they may try to run away or simply cower and become uncompliant, as the suspect is doing in the lower right. The amount of time it takes for them to become uncompliant is random. Additionally, if a weapon is left behind, they may try to grab it and shoot the player, but this is vanilla TSS behavior - I simply improved it.
The weapon looks fantastic, but this too have the same problem: the gunstock is not modelled and a huge hole is an eyesore. I am avid fan of your work, but more and more weapons turn up with this problem. Do you plan to deal with this later in the future?
It actually is fully modeled, the problem is either related to the first person weapon FOV or the clipping plane. I haven't discerned what exactly causes that yet. Playing on a lower FOV is a solution for now (this screenshot was at FOV 100 if I remember right)
I find that FoV 90 is the sweet spot for preventing this, for the time being.
Thank you for the reply! And sorry for that, I just assumed it is not modelled, because in the past I had opened the files of the vanilla guns, and I saw they (like the UMP) lack gunstocks.
I'm really glad to see that you not only keep this game alive but taking it to a next level! Good job!
Wow! this is really really good :D congratulations for the awesome work
any chance to remove the FOV when aiming down sights?
Hi,
That will be an option in v7. You can also adjust the viewmodel FOV with a slider.
