Surge is taking place in near future, when the economy crisis has spread across the globe, merging countries and increasing crime rates, causing prisons to overfill.
Two private prison companies called Jynx and Cyro are born, followed by new bloody and deadly sport, Surge.
Combat armors, exoskeletons and weapons have been developed especially for this seasonal event.
Surge's gameplay is exctremely realistic but plausibly futuristic (2050) class based FPS/TPS with realistic POV (point of view) action, helmet hud, camera bobbing, energetic melee and ranged combat and fatigue system.
Also introducing 5 different playable classes (Lurker, Reaver, Medic, Drone and Trencher) with different types of armor values. Each class has the option to choose from two melee weapons, 2 secondary weapons, 3 main weapons and special tools that they can use for their advantage against other classes.
In addition to that, each player model is customizeable with different helmets and custom made logos.
Specialized in long range sniper attacks, ability to cloak for a short period of time, fast movement and low armor. However when shot at and while cloaked, her skeleton will flash but not removing the cloak completely. The perfect class to infiltrate and plant detectors and cameras to enemies and objectives.
Fastest and lightest class in the whole game. Equipped with two dualwielded blades, medium range bow and almost no armor at all. Incredibly powerfull and fast melee attacks, so you better be carefull and ready to shoot the bastard.
Medium armored support class. You'd want to stay near her if you have a will to live, equipped with painkillers and activateable healing aura that drain your supply bar. Also has an light SMG or rifle if you need to fight off an enemy or just assist your team-mates.
Medium offensive/defensive multi-purpose class, either planting exposives, such as mines or just whipping grenades around the corners. Mostly equipped with an medium range rifle, shotgun and stim pack wich increases movement and attack/fire speed but reducing health momentarely. Also an option to go tactical, a shield that blocks all frontal attacks(bullets and melee, duh) and is enough to keep a wounded team-mate safe while the medic arrives. ( Sparta?..Anyone?)
The most heavy armored and slowest assault class in the game, equipped with massive cannons and guns. As a secondary weapon propably will have a shotgun and a riffle. Melee hits will temporarely stun the player and blur the vision completely.
Team Death Match
Obvious.. Aim at the other team.
Capture The Flag
Steal the enemy teams flag and return it to your own base while still being in possession of your own teams flag. You can't use any weapons while carrying the flag, but you can whack people in melee with it.
Hack/Destroy the enemy base core to win. Bases also have usable turrets.
Two players face off in a special arena map while others wait in the queue(spectate), when one of them dies the winner gets full hp/ammo and new player enters from the queue. When the duelists fail to kill eachother in the given timelimit, they will be slain and transfered back to the queue. Winner gets to choose the next map.
Shares the same idea as the 'Duel' gamemode, but instead of being random vs. random it would be with 2 teams consisting of 5 members each.
1v1, team with all members killed lose, winners get to choose the next map.
Players start in smaller groups and fight off waves of monsters, big boss fights included every 10th wave. Alot like Unreal Tournaments Invasion mode.
