This mod removes incorrect pike units of Hannibal at the Gates, Wrath of Sparta, Rise of the Republic campaigns of Total War: Rome II Radious Mod (Still compatible with 2024 update of main mod).
Although pikes unit in Total War: Rome II are very powerful when attacking at the front but removing these units make HATG, WOS, ROTR campaigns less boring and more challenging to play with. This mod is compatible to Radious Anniversary Ultimate Fixes submod.
Pikes unit removal for these factions:
Hannibal at the Gates: Carthage, Syracuse, Samnites, Etruscan League, Emporion, Massilia (include Caesar in Gaul), Mauri, Garamantia, Punic Rebels (include Imperator Augustus), Hellenic Rebels, African Rebels.
Athough sarissa pike was introduce to the Greeks in Sicily and Carthaginians through Pyrrhus' campaign and Xanthippus of Lacedaemon but sarissa pikes weren't deployed in major battles during Second Punic Wars (218 - 201 BC) and player don't fight against pikemen of Hellenistic kingdoms in the east. Removing the pike units also improve the CAI recruitment, the CAI no longer recruits strong unit with mid-tier pike units.
Wrath of Sparta: Athenai, Korinthos, Boiotian League, Sparta.
Wrath of Sparta campaign was gotten ideas from Pelponnesian War (431 - 404 BC), Phillip II of Macedon wasn't born yet. Korinthos is faction which has more pike units than other Greek faction, Korinthos is overpowered in Wrath of Sparta campaign and pike units for Wrath of Sparta playable factions also make the campaign unbalanced. Despite there are still some historically inaccurate units like Thureophoroi, Thorakitai,... in this campaign but removing pike units majorly just improves both the CAI recruitment and campaign gameplay.
Rise of the Republic: Tarchuna, Samnites, Taras, Syracuse and others Greek, Italian factions.
Rise of the Republic was gotten ideas from Brennus' Invasion (3rd century BC) as the same time when Alexander the Great was invading Persia. Hellenistic warfare from Greece, Macedon didn't influence its nearby regions yet. Similar to pike units removal of Hannibal at the Gates, player don't fight against pikemen of Hellenistic kingdoms in the east and removing the pike units also improve the CAI recruitment, the CAI no longer recruits strong units with mid-tier pike units.
There are 2 main files in this .rar file, "...campaign only" and "...campaign & custom battle", just pick one of both.
Update 1: Fixed Samnites and Italian factions (ROTR) still recruits pike units.
Update 1.2: Fixed Massilia (HATG, CIG) still recruits pike units.
Update 1.3: Removed Hellenic Scythed Chariots for Media Atropatene in custom battle.
Update 1.4: Fixed artillery units can't be defence units in custom siege battle.
Update 1.5: Fixed Secessionists/Civil War faction can't recruit Radious general bodyguard units.
Update 1.6: Removed Incorrect Indian (Armoured) War Elephants of Media Atropatene.
Update 1.7: Fixed Mauri, Garamantia (HATG) still recruits pike units.
Update 1.8: Fixed African Rebels (HATG) still recruits pike units.
Update 1.9: Removed redundant Karian Axeman as general's bodyguard unit.
Update 2: Fixed Gerrhea can't recruit general's bodyguard units.
Update 2.1: Fixed Rise of the Republic migration factions like Sikelians, Hirpini still recruit pike units, fixed Syracusan Nobles/Secessionists (GC, HATG, ROTR), Athenian Boule/Secessionists, Boiotian Rivals/Secessionists can't recruit Radious units.
Update 2.2: Fixed Marcomanni (Empire Divided) recruit Celtic units.
Update 2.3: - Removed elite Trapezuntine bodyguard units of Cimmeria, Sogdian Warriors bodyguard unit of Media, Media Atropatene, Ardhan, Cappadocia, Persia, Parthava,... (Eastern factions).
Update 2.4: Removed Radious Athenian units from Taras (ROTR) and added missing Radious Athenian units to Syracuse (ROTR).
Update 2.5: Removed Hindu Kush, Achaemenid units from Arabian factions.
Update 2.6: Removed Radious low-tier, mid-tier general's bodyguard units from Lusitani, Arevaci.
Update 2.7: Removed Radious Meroitic units from Masaesyli and Arabian (Empire Divided) factions.
Update 2.8: Overhauled unit roster of Rome (ROTR).
Update 2.9: Fixed Persian Empire (WOS) trained incorrect units.
Update 3.0: Replace Mycenaean Cavalry with Athenian Elite Cavalry as general's bodyguard unit.
