In Subject 311 you play as an unnamed prisoner/test subject who awakens to find themselves locked in an unknown lab on a private archipelego, in a hidden war between a rogue weapons firm and various Government Agencies.

The firm, known as Nova, represent both legitimate and illegitimate interests, most notable among them being weapons manufacture and development. One area of weapons research extends into the creation of viral and biological life forms and their effect on human biology. Consequently the company uses illegal means to recruit volunteers, which it then uses as test subjects for its various concoctions.

With concerns over the company's more and more outrageous acts, governments who had supported Nova withdrew funding and found themselves forced to act. Unfortunately for them, Nova had advanced further then anyone had imagined.
The use of viral carriers for DNA re-sequencing had gone incredibly well. Your strength, speed and resilience have pushed beyond the human limit and Nova has succeeded in its creation of a "super soldier" process.

Unfortunately, not all Nova's work resulted in such success; there are "others". Some captives have become monsters/cannibalistic or savage, murderous automatons or hunters of men and, like you, all of Nova's test subjects have awakened into newfound freedom.
Now, hunted down by ruthless soldiers, thinking that you are a cannibalistic monster, you have to ask yourself a question:

Are you?

First release features:
Dynamic upgrade system
Approx. 13 new weapons with on-the-fly customization
"Feral" powers

Hey

I don't want to sound like one of those people that bitch because a mod sounds pretty much exact to what they were going for. So I won't. :D

Moddb.com Here is my project, take some time to read the intro thingy, you'll see some similarities. But, Hey, it's not like we are the only people who have had this idea right? :P

I'm actually looking forward to how this pans out, seeing that it's close to my project which has been postponed for the forseeable future.

Good luck guys!

I'm writer on this mod and I assure you we are in no way ripping off "The Hidden", which I personally find is a great multiplayer mod.
Our Mod is a Single-Player game, so it has a lot more than a short background story to it.
You will experience several hours of interactive, open game play, during which you encounter numerous interesting characters and get involved in a bigger scheme of events, which involve the reasons for Subject 311's creation.
