This is potentially good. However, this cs makes you impatient sometimes.

+ Good scares (Although some of them are predictable)
+ Good level designs
+ Quests
- Storage map is a mess. It's really dark. You cannot get a lantern if you're not explore it first. As I explore it entirely, it gives me a massive headache.
- Story is mediocre.
- Backtracking.
- English is quite mediocre. (My english is not perfect but there's no reason to remove this)
- Somehow short.

Not bad but my experience was completely ruined by the fact that the creator used capital E on "extra_english.lang" which made it completely textless on case-sentivive systems. I thought it's a demo or an experiment until I started checking logs and investigating myself why there's zero text.

Quite scary. The only thing I don't like is that you need to explore everything on the cellar first before getting a lantern. The cellar is very dark and confusing.

This was actually nice. Considering you only used original assets this was a pretty good cs, even in 2020.

Dude some of the maps are a mess, like pretty much a maze where i got lost a bunch of times and i consider myself good at navigating levels. The design was pretty decent overall, but most of the rooms didn't contain that many useful items, and exploration wasn't always satisfying (i mean the weird poems were a nice touch but other notes were a bit messy and uninteresting). The story was kind of cliche, and badly written with somewhat poor english, but that is okay, i just recommend asking for help with this and/or the translation.

Resource management was nice, i liked how unusually you got oil and stuff, also tinderboxes had a use, it was VERY DARK sometimes and you had to save up the oil, good job. Scares were fine but of course most of us are used to the original monsters by now. The brute encounter in the sewers was neat, if only you hadn't slowed down the player at some points.. Also please don't do such gigantic dark areas like the cellar with no events next time, it was just tiring to get through.

Puzzles were nothing special, but they do their part, with sometimes nice design choices, fitting music and atmosphere this mod feels like a whole most of the time. Only some immersion breaking parts like leaving a door open which points into empty space out of level structure and the mentioned slowdown part.

All in all i enjoyed this, while the ending kinda sucks, i just wish there was more to play i guess, that could have led to a conclusion. Maybe chapter two?

Deserves a 7/10 easily, good luck on your next creation (i hope there will be one)! Don't let the other reviews discourage you, fix the bugs, and try to improve. It might not be for everyone but i played a **** ton of mods, and this is a good start!

Too confuse, too short, too many rooms, too many random monster spawns, unfinished ending, bad English, you have to explore too much to get the lantern, too many dark rooms and corridors.
