Loved first Stalker, and was disapointed with all the bugs it have. One of which was absolutely unplayeble stealth and the bug, in which if you load your game near enemy (soldier for example), they are aware about you in instant. It's not a huge modification mod, it's just what i did for myself to enjoy game, so it's here just for You to try and decide, if You want to use it.

do i need a new game with this
it is always a good idea to start a new game after applying mods, but in this specific case - it should be ok. files which are changed are configs and sounds - but again, i did the mod so long ago that i can not remember exactly if there could be a conflict.
