where do I extract or copy to? what exactly is the directory?
Copy / cut "gamedata" and "bin" in the directory of Stalker SOC and copy / cut "user.ltx" (it's in "app_data" file) in "your documents" -> "Stalker-SHOC" (or the location of saves files etc) ;)
I have followed the instructions the the file and each time i try to start the game i get a bug notification and the launcher closes. Any remedy to this?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm completely new to modding. When i downloaded the starter pack, a text file appears and I can't open it with notepad or anything. I thought a zipped file was supposed to appear with a readme inside. Can anyone help me with finding the readme file?
you need to download a free program called 7zip use that to unzip said file
In the file "SPv2019_Final" there is "READ ME.txt" (you need a text editor / notepad) and "INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS.rtf" (Word or LibreOfficee for example can read this)
btw how use modifier correctly? I can config only few things whilst others just say that "file does not exist" and it shows what files don't exist..and indeed they don't exist anywhere in game folder.
Tried "install actor.ltx" but can't really press there anything to apply as it starts with the same "file does not exist" .... I want to change my carry weight stuff...
Yea, I've got that too. Seems broken. I had to search for the files and copy them into the locations manually, then I was able to edit them with the editor.
ZRP is configured to work with this mod correctly. Chenging or enabling some things will cause CTD.
I have a fix
You need to search and download ZRP, extract it, then do the following.
Go to \Zone Reclamation Project 1.07_R5RC\gamedata\config\creatures\optional
Copy actor.ltx.alt1 and actor.ltx.original
Go into Stalker game folder \STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl\gamedata\config\creatures\optional
Paste files here. Now you can use the modifier to edit Actor settings!

This is awesome, however I've noticed some of the shadows are stripey on some walls, and patches of ground. They also flicker as I move the character. It's not really bad, but it is a little distracting. Is this a bug, or just how it looks on an old game?

Is there a way to tell whether or not it is working? I copied the file into the "mods" folder in the Steam local files. I have not played the game for a long time yet so I don't know if it is working correctly.

I followed the directions, Copied the new files into the game directory. When asked if I wanted to overwrite, I accepted. Everything seemed to go as intended, however the game will not start now. The splash screen comes up but crashes silently every time.

NB: there are thumbs.db files in textures\crete, textures\mtl, and textures\wood which caused a crash on load for me, probably because the program tried to load them as textures. After deleting them it worked fine.

When using modifier in this mod to change ACTOR options, it is broken. You need to search and download ZRP, extract it, then do the following.

I'm having some issues trying to implement some of the FOV presets. Where should I paste those presets to?

I followed the instructions but for some reason my game won't start. It doesn't give any error message just that small splash image on the center of my screen and then shuts down the game.
Hi. I am using GOG version 1.0006.
After installing this modpack, as per the instructions the game won't start and instead returns this error message:
"XR_3DA.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module \S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrCore.dll" at 0023:00D1CC85"
I run all the latest drivers etc., followed the installation instructions carefully. Tried a bunch of different solutions from the internet (running as admin, putting couple of arguments to the game shortcut etc.). Nothing works.
Without the modpack, the game starts up correctly.
i think the game runs fine after downloading but i cant change my resolution so now the games runs with all the sounds and music but the screen only showing black screen with error : " H=65,5 Hz V = 60Hz" . It seems like the game refresh rate is higher than my monitor refresh rate. Does anyone have a solution to this? thanks
