Hello my friends, yes ofcoarse I'm sorry for the lack of news I've been busy with other projects and work (fire fighting). BUT I AM VERY PLEASED TO SAY A EARLY BETA IS ON ITS WAY. I know I promised this mod will release finished (dont take that the wrong way, we are not giving up) but until I have time to work on the mod full-time I'll give you a small taste of what the mod is going to be

this looks nice. So you plan to make SGU maps as well or just stick with the SG-1/Atlantis? Also what about characters, like wraith/ori etc as playable?;)
I have a map of the destiny that will be in the game with SGU models ;) and I'll some wraith
kk cool lol. if you need any stargate ship models (exterior) then i have most of them, however untextured.

this mod is based on SG1 for now, I have an atlanits content lined up but for now, lets keep it simple :)

It's always been the ultimate irony.
UT is the perfect engine to make a classic Star Gate 1 game, as it's packed full of Egyptian models and decorations!
Possibly using the ChaosUT melee system would be good for a mod like this also. The staff could be used like the Buddhist staff in the Chaos Pack.
Any thoughts on implementing the RPG mutator with this?
umm... yes unreal is perfect for UT2004 stargate maps but I'm making all the meshes from scratch lol.
yes, it is going to be a role playing story line, you take the role of SG2, stopping a Goa'uld we made up from finding 'the key' that can destroy all HUMAN life. But there will be fun maps also that dont involve the story line such as replacator invasions, space battles, fun exploring planets and one example I want to do is the hebridan race.
