All I am waiting on is the animation tool... once i get it, the release will happen very quickly.

This is why...

I did not create the animation tool. A friend of mine from Germany has created it... He will not release the tool without a sample file that shows how to create animations on a fully rigged character for Joint Ops. I have created a character just for this. It is the Military Officer above. I chose this character because I can use it in the Stargate Mod & others can use it in Other mods without it seeming out of place. If I used Thor as the sample file noone else would ever use it in their mod basically.

The biggest problem with this is the intricate vertex weighting that needs to be done. It needs done to the 1st & 3rd person versions of this model... I suck at weights & verticies.... especially when its in fingers & hands...

Once I get the tool it will be easy to finish object animations. They are very simple compared to a human.

At that point it will be really simple to create 2 mods from 1 or several minimods just by altering 1 definition file... by altering the files that get called up upon activating the mod, you can in essence create 2 mods... SGC & SGA as seperate mods... also once i get more destiny stuff ready all i would have to do is dump in the new buildings ships etc. then create new Def file & bam... new mod on old mod... its a great system.

What I need is someone who can rig a character with rigid vertexes physique modifier (skin modifier is also possible) but needs to be 3-links. If anyone could help with this it would be freakin awesome...

Once its done I can get the tool & release my beta... after that I can update with SVN or something untill the mod is finished. The beta is playable now... gates work no issues... no crossover. Maps have been creates with gate networks already functional with code if anyone wants to create maps or missions...

All I need is this character to be weighted.

Whats up Everyone... Just thought id share a few things Ive been working on... Still waiting to get my hands on the new animation tool... it is finished just not released... once it is i can finish up the animations and get ready for the Beta. Still missing a few needed characters. If I cant find them or create them ill be reassessing the focus of gameplay. But fear not still working hard on this project....lol

This will patch the .exe to allocate 4gb ram (max for x64) to the game.

No definitely not dead. Things have slowed a bit however.

Currently Im in need of 4 characters.
Wraith (I have a good start on one but its not finished),
Wraith Soldier,
A Prior &
an Ori Soldier.

If i cannot find these characters then Ill have to center the game theme around Stargate SG1. So far Ive been building around Atlantis. Im waiting to hear from some people/places before deciding how to proceed further.

The game is playable.
But unbalanced (Good Guys vs Bad Guys).

Also I need to balance the weapons, The Humans have a ton of weapons but the alien races still need more.

Also i have been speaking with a few people about increasing the memory allocation of the game. Hoping to get something going there. This could even be done after its released without effecting anything in the game. So that is more of a long term plan.

Ill try to post a vid if I can this weekend. Maybe take a trip threw the gate and record it or something, now that i have sound & proper gate code.

Also I could use a good Stargate font. The one I have has symbols for lowercase letters. I need regular letters for lowercase. This should fix the issues with converting the games internal font and menu fonts. Maybe i need to learn how to create a True Type font. Ive never done it but im sure its doable.

But to answer your question this Mod is definitely NOT dead.

I do have one... but it will never Fly. an Ori Mothership is simply too large. However i could have it as a stationary building. Fighters could be launched from it.
However you could make it look like its in hyperspace by placing the ship inside a wormhole. then simply "hide unhide" your wormhole to make it look like its going in & out of Hyperspace.

Going well... moving lowly & steadily...lol Been working for about 3 weeks on character creation. Mostly getting the uniforms for my SG-Teams
ready to go... Ill try to post a few pics of the new outfits tonight. Eventually Ill release the characters for anyone who wants to use them.
They will come with the Project PSD files. Ive worked entirely too hard to be the only one who gets to use them...lol
