Description
We have shifted to using GitHub instead of Google due to issues with Google Drive and improvements to the mod. Please read our latest Progress Report for information on how to download SGI from our GitHub repository. The Google Group has been discontinued and is no longer publicly available. Past members will still have access but the group will not be searchable and no additional members will be added.

i applied last night, is there currently a waiting period?
There is, lots of requests and we can't add everyone at the same time or google will take forever to set permissions. Did you receive an email from the group?
I'll be adding 10-20 people per day so you should be in there tomorrow or the day after if you weren't today.
Also, once you are a member you'll probably have to wait 1-2 days if you don't see the files in your Shared With Me section and can't find the mod folder when you search your drive.

Why not just upload here so everyone can download the mod? I do not understand why you complicate things.
The mod is under construction and is not for everyone at this point but we will start uploading it sooner than planned as the group already has far more members than were expected.
I just applied for membership, will I be allowed to make youtube videos spotlighting this mod?

I'll have to talk to Ace_Fighter about this. I'd prefer that everyone waits with video playthroughs until the Asuran combat ship textures are ready and maybe also after we fix the human shields so they cover the ships properly. Ace has the final word on this though so I'll ask him.

There will definitely be an announcement when we decide that the mod is ready for YouTube.
meanwhile still waiting for everything to be textured the correct way, just a reminder you have fans waiting. btw i understand mods take time to make.
We haven't forgotten and work on the necessary texturing tools is ongoing. Since we don't earn anything from making the mod, it's all done depending on our available free time and life priorities. There are really only two people on the team that can make these tools, models and textures. Ace_Fighter is the other and I'm the only one that does cleaning and prep work for all the models so that they can be textured without encountering issues in Substance Painter.
i'm aware. i make mods for skyrim on nexus mod manager. so i know the time it takes to make stuff. i don't mind waiting.....just letting you know you still have exciting fans waiting.

i have a problem the game keep crashing evry time i try to run it with the mod
Please read the posts and check your file counts. I updated my original release post to mention this and highlighted the file count information in the image at the top.

Yes, sorry about the wait but it can take up to 4 days. If you haven't been accepted after that send me a message and I'll try to locate you in the requests.

The reason for waiting is that Google Drive is not exactly reliable when it comes to delivering large amounts of files quickly once they have been shared. If I enable 130 people at once you will probably have to wait a week until all files get there for everyone if it even ever gets to some of you. This way at least you know why you don't have the files.
Of course if you know something that I don't and it does not make any difference whether I approve 25 or 125 people at once then post here. As I've said before on numerous occasions I'm still waiting to hear back from the google community expert.
My personal experience with GD has been that more people means more delay for shared files.
Its been 3 days for me but its cool i dont mind waiting.

Google seems to muddle these things up as well, just noticed one person who was first to apply (according to the notification email we received) but his request only arrived in the group this morning.
If anyone else has been waiting for 4 days please contact me or post here.

Hi i had checked size and its only 2,62 GB i have 11 folders and 6files on my drive same in the mods folder . So what now please ? i have synced it trough app so just wait for more files to appear and download it manualy or ? Thank You

Is there any other option to get my hands on the mod? Google won't let me use groups in any way (idk why, all other sites work fine, i just can't log in there...) and i really used to have fun with this mod some time ago :/
(why is there even a need to use google groups? why not just upload it on moddb?)
We haven't released the mod officially, the Google drive link is basically access to a mod developer build mirror.
I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to log into Google groups (check enable cookies), other than not having a Google account. Just make a new one if you really want to play this early access build.
keeps crashing
I you're seeing consistent crashes then it's probably your file count. Check that all files have arrived. If they haven't, download it again a bit later.

Yes, the two folders need to be merged. You do not need large address aware. Sins of a Dolar Empire 1.9 already has this integrated.. The mod is compatible with 1.9, possibly 1.85 and above but I'm not guaranteeing this.
also can only chose tauri in singleplayer gould doesnt work
Only Tau'ri (Human) and Asuran factions are in this SGI version, the rest will be added later
