Sons of War is a total conversion for the greatest RTS of all times, StarCraft. It’s being developed by SC fans for SC fans, without looking for any monetary profit or fame: we do so because we love our game and want to do something in return. A community project started in September 2006, SoW has evolved from a teen dream to a solid project with solid bases: modding capabilities and limits, cinematic scripts, storyline, unit design and other features have been reviewed intensively to make this a simple, yet elegant and astounding product.

"We are a project born more than a year ago with a few scattered souls from sc.org, back in the times where SC2 was almost given up on. Therefore, our team decided to create an unofficial expansion for SC1, and Starcraft: Sons of War was born.

In the light of SC2, a lot of people are replaying maps, getting back on BN and trying out long forgotten mods: no better time could come for the completion of our project. It is not a campaign, but a full mod." (ITSTORRASQUE4U, Sons of War Project director)"

FEATURES:

- 6 new units to enhance multiplayer gameplay: Zerg Bane, Zerg Matralisk, Protoss Phalanx, Protos Vanguard, Terran Rattail and Terran Tomahawk.
- New heroes and a shiny new storyline as well: intrigue, unexpected alliances, new menaces and rising factions.
- A single campaign for each race, taking you through the SOW plot.
- Unseen cinematics, 100% produced by our hardworking staff.

We are looking for talented 2D and 3D digital artists, mappers, voice actors, StarCraft modders, and storyboard artists who are qualified with the following:

1.) One should not be looking for any monetary profit but just loves StarCraft so much that he/she'd be willing to help in a fully thought-out mod/campaign/expansion project.

2.) For the position in the Digital Graphics department, one should be experienced with 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Mudbox, or video editing/compositing programs such as Adobe Premiere.

3.) For the position in the Mapping and Modding department, one should have sufficient experience with intermediate and advanced StarCraft mapping and modding knowledge and techniques such as terraining, triggering, asthetics, rigging, etc.

4.) For the position of Storyboard Artist in conjunction with the Cinematics department, one should know what makes a good movie "good". One should know how to place cameras in a scene in certain situations and know what should and should not be in a scene or camera shot.

5.) For the position of Voice Actor/Actress (also in conjunction with the Cinematics Department), one should have a good voice (stating the obvious), good charisma, and an adaptable accent because he/she could be casting for multiple characters in either the cinematics or in-game.

6.) One should be experienced with working in a team environment but shouldn't be dedicated to any mod projects other than Sons of War. This will assure that he/she would give away his/her full talent for this very high-profile mod.
