Just an idea: For the Vulture droid, give them an ability where they can walk on a Separatist ship and provide point-defense. An idea for when your focus shifts over to FotR.

I know a lot of mods handle buzz droids differently sp how about this? for every 5 squadrons aboard a CIS ship (3 for dedicated carriers like the donut Trade-Fed ships or Providence) you flip their icon and add letter like S for squad leader or B for Buzz so that way, not every vulture has buzz droids but enough do to be a real threat to Republic ships

Vultures aren't equipped with buzz droids, tri-fighters are.

Depends. There were definitely refitted vulture-droids from during the clone wars that had buzz droid missiles. Now whether those were mass-produced is a different question that I don't know the answer to.

"During the Clone Wars, vulture droids were modified to carry six blaster cannons and four buzz droid discord missiles instead of energy torpedoes,[13] however it's more than likely that they could carry other types of missiles." ~Wookieepedia

I don't know how reliable that information is canonically. We never see them with buzz droids in the films or the Clone Wars tv series and any book that might mention their ability to do so would likely be labeled as Legends now. That's not even mentioning the impracticality of it considering the size ratio between Vultures and buzz droids (buzz droids are a bit bigger than you'd think and Vultures are quite thin).

Considering that the mod is set in the Legends timeline, a book labelled as Legends is a perfectly legitimate source for the mod.

The buzz droid missiles in Revenge of the Sith are shot by a Vulture droid.

Correct: the fighter in this must be a vulture variant since Hyena bombers had an additional section in the middle next to the "head" unit.

If you continue watching, the missiles being seen fired by the vulture are the ones that "catch" Obi-wan's Eta-2 with the buzz droids. So in this case, it is not even a matter of Legends but even canon.

Now, to the point about buzz droid size, I agree with you. Ain't no way you fit that many droids that size in that missile other than with special effects. Now, could you pick on that and say that the missile SHOULD have been bigger? Yeah. But hey, George Lucas thought that would make the Vulture look funny, and likes them to be pretty. So in reality, I guess we could assume that the missiles must have been a little bigger and the buzz droids a little smaller.

Either that or buzz droids are mostly hollow and quite collapsible. Comparing the missiles behind Anakin's ship and the buzz droids on Obi-Wan's doesn't make me question the scale too much if you allow for the buzz droids to fold up a bit.

I always assumed that they were stored in the sphere-like balls that are attached in two halves on either shoulder.

I always remembered the missile hitting a pod containing buzz droids rather than it exploding and releasing half a dozen droids larger than the missile itself. If what you said is correct, that is absolutely ridiculous. It's almost as bad as Starkiller base.

Hmm. I mean, I am pretty sure it is just the missile - let me go check.

There you go, poor quality, but whatever. As far as how many droids, there were two missiles, and as Jorritkarwehr said, we can see that they do expand out from their ball-storage containers within the missile and Obi-wan's Eta-2 fighter looks smaller than it is. All in all, I guess they might look slightly larger than they should, but it actually isn't by as much as I initially thought.

I found a higher resolution version: Youtube.com
Watching it in normal speed, it's difficult to tell but when you slow it down to 0.5 or 0.25 you can see that the missiles release them as you said. There are easily half a dozen per missile (not all of them make it onto Obi-Wan's Eta-2).

Buzz Droid Discord missiles are simply a type of missile loadable onto Tri-Droids or Vultures. Presumably you could also fit them onto Hyena's, and we see a Space-combat HMP use them in clone wars.

The missiles are quite large, so they would have a limit compared to standard Light Concussions or a small energy torpedo launcher.

Nice choice of unit to begin the image gallery with. The Droid Starfighter/Vulture Droid is one of my favorite prequel ships.

Model and skin by Maxloef

While our focus as a team primarily remains on Thrawn's Revenge: Imperial Civil War, there is still some preliminary work being done on Fall of the Republic. First of our FotR-specific units for you to take a look at are the Vulture droids, in both Trade Fed and CIS colour schemes.
