After a while of silence, Star Wars: The New Era is back with some wallpapers for your desktop. We have been working silently in the past few months to get loads of player and weapon models ingame. As a reward for your patience, we have released a series of five wallpapers with our Stormtroopers as a motive.

Since most previous Star Wars first person shooters sorta suck... I really hope you guys pull this off!
Well, the reason for them to "suck" as you tell was mainly since they've been focussed on console platforms and have been ported badly to PC, which results in a very arcade style control of the player character. We're developing this mod for PC and don't have to care about other platforms, so that grants us more freedom to get the FPS feeling right.

I was talking mainly about things like the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series of games. As far as I know those were based solely on PC.
Indeed, but I found they were pretty good. They surely had their flaws, but JK2 CTF even made it to an eSports top title in the EPS finals. And there was such a large community around those games. They were definately some of the better ones.
