While I love the new environmental asthetic, I am not as keen on the inclusion of TCW style things. Microseries, yes. Republic comic books, yes. But SW:TCW..,

There are quite a few things about The Clone Wars, the prequel trilogy, and Star Wars in general that members of the team do not like for various reasons. However, we are not going to deny these assets to people that do enjoy them because of our personal preferences; that'd be selfish.

As of now, these are all Scenario Editor objects, so if it really bothers you, can can always not use them.

Or if it really bothers you, do what I do to Jar Jar binks. Place him in the scenario editor and send half a dozen MC80s after him.

Hey, Hey, Hey! Watch it! I love the Clone Wars. I really hate it when people say it's such a kiddie show!

I sat through three seasons of that show. They are just -now- starting to genuinely catch on to the power the Microseries had. Just because its a kid show didn't mean they had to dumb most plots down to obvious archetypes and ham-fisted ideas. Katie Lucas' writing about the return of Darth Maul -is-, however, actually one of the more interestingly done concepts. But don't get me started on that one bit with the three force beings and the temple-world-thing and the Brother of Darkness and Sister of Light and all that crap.... gah that was just horrible

How was that horrible? That was actually one of my favorite trilogies of the whole series! It tells that Anakin Skywalker really is the chosen one. It also tells about force-sensitive beings that have a higher sensitivity than anyone else in the galaxy.

You sir are poking a rancor that really isn't in the mood. I'm going to do both me, and the mod a favor and pretend I didn't hear that.

Yeah, good point. Besides, what's the point in arguing anyway? We are both Star Wars fans after all. Also, I think that the old series is pretty awesome too.

I'll also admit that, now that I really think about it, there were a few parts in that trilogy that were utterly stupid. I mean, how did Ahsoka turn to the dark side just from being bitten?

hmm.. are you guys going to rescale the units for as the proper sizes? cause it looks silly if a droid is practically the same size as an aat.. just a suggestion. looking forward to this :)

re-scaling units is somewhat problematic. It requires a lot of work to rescale anything already in the game due to anti-aliasing issues, blending in the purple mask color with the unit's edges. Also, making things entirely to scale is something we simply can't do, like make it so only a small fraction of the Venator can fit on the screen and such. Then there's issues with making larger units able to fit through gates and all that.

I may like the Clone Wars, but don't get me wrong. I still prefer the live action version of the Star Wars Saga. I think the TV show is great, and I'm happy to see they're adding in things from it, but I have to admit, the Clone Wars movie was crap. They should still add things from the movie into this mod, but I still say it was a little crappy.

Description

Here we get a nice look at the AAT sporting the blue and gray separatist paint scheme as seen in The Clone Wars, as well as our first efforts to bring the coral-covered world of Rugosa to SWGB.

The CIS AAT was made by Redfive of SWGBH.
