Expanding Fronts is a massive modification for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds aimed to breathe life back into the classic LucasArts strategy game by adding various new units, features, and gameplay elements. Each of the 8 civilizations are being reworked and enhanced to make each feel more unique and authentic to the universe, while maintaining the classic Battlegrounds gameplay. In addition, the Scenario Editor is being filled with hundreds of new units, buildings, effects, triggers, and objects to allow campaign and scenario designers more freedom than ever before.

Are you going to be using heavy transports like that for each Race/Civilization? If so, that would be awesome, and what would you use for others? I.E. Gungans(I was thinking they at least should since their specials are focused on water units, well that and the mechs.) or Wookies? If you are not, that is still extremely cool. I seriously cannot wait for this to be released. The frigates are so dwarfed, I noticed that while typing this. Lol. Keep up the amazing work guys. :)

If we can find units that fill the rosters, we'll put them to use. Aquatic vehicles are already a sadly neglected part of the EU, and trying to find useable stuff for the smaller civs like the Gungans and Wookiees is nigh-impossible. I'd rather not resort to just making crap up since we want to maintain authenticity, but I don't see much other choice.

Well Wookiees do actually have all those aircraft units, such as the ones in Episode 3. They also had a few larger scale water craft but they were mainly transports with one or two turrets on top.

As to the Gungans.... I gotta be honest, if it can be balanced right, they should be able to move basic footsoldiers and other foot based infantry through the water without transport. Maybe it takes them longer to move underwater?

Gungans will have some other aquatic things, but we may have some trouble with making more ships, there simply isn't enough information. It's rather annoying really, having civilizations that span the galaxy like the Empire, Republic, Rebels, etc makes it very easy to fill rosters (sometimes too easy, tbh) but with the smaller civs like Wookies, Gungans, Naboo that are basically just single planets... Yah, they don't have quite the same variety of units :(

Well, and this is just a suggestion, maybe for the Gungans you can have some of the underwater creatures, like the ones you see in Episode one, as a few of their ships. Now that may or may not work, it also is probably just a last resort kind of thing for if and when you need to start making stuff up, but this way you still keep it semi-authentic, while still giving the Gungans their dues. Again just a suggestion that would be very cool in my opinion.
