Rebellion aims to create a realistic, multi level strategic war simulation based on the second world war, and combine it with the original trilogys feeling. You'll be managing vast parts of the Galactic Empire, and eliminate it's many adversaries, while keeping order and piece by supressing pirates and rebels, or you'll be fighting a war of attrition by leading the Alliance to Restore the Republic in a guerilla war against tyranny, spreading rebellion and hope across the galaxy.

It's a picture of a fun project with the Vong team.
I'm not a Rebels hater or anything, but I always thought the B-Wing with the particle beam was dumb.
I love the show but that beam was as you said, dumb. It made less sense than star killer base.
At least they made it like a design-flaw rather than something that the final craft would likely support, so that it is a somewhat explainable "Knight Rider upgrade".
Rebels should be hated as is what they've done to starwars.
Despite being a business owner and in my 30's, I am a Star Wars Rebels fan, and I loved the episode "Wings of the Master" which first featured the B-Wing fighter prototype. Great work megabalta, I love this image!

They hate the fact that disney made the old EU uncanon.
The Force Awakens in the other hand bought new life in the star wars franchise.

all disney did was make a film very similar to a new hope to give fans a shot of nostalgia...
The weapon in the show was a writers excuse to make the episodes story round. I also think it was dumb, but its a kids cartoon. This beam weapon will probably not make it in the mod as it is now, its more like a gift for the shows fans.

it won't be in the mod, it was more of a test to see if it could be done in-game. Mega mentioned it in another comment.

The only people who get to change what is cannon in Star Wars is Lucas. I don't give a **** if he sold the movie rights and anything else to the not-to-smart pricks at Disney!
Lucas doesn't own the rights anymore since he sold them. Regardless, who gets to control star Wars once he dies? In your eyes since only Lucas can make the decisions once he's gone nobody else will ever get the chance to make any decisions. That's just dumb.
Your argument wasn't very well laid out, plus Lucas makes dumb decisions just as much as anybody else, adding in pointless cgi shots to make Star Wars look more modern, which he failed in many ways.
