The mod spans both eras and at current encompasses all 17 maps of the original Star Wars: Battlefront. You will get to play with new weapons inspired by the legacy of the entire franchise, such as the Shotgun, T-21 and A280C. Play your favourite battles from the original game in a new way: no two factions play the same.
Here are some of the features:
Version 2 is currently underway.
In August 2016, I brought out a new mod for the original Star Wars: Battlefront. Titled "Star Wars: Battlefront Legacy", it was intended as a mod that celebrates all branches of the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, from the original games, to the portable games, cancelled games, and even EA's games. It worked on only the stock version of the original game, so while it gave a fresh take on the five classes and vehicles that everybody has come to know, it was still restricted to the original lineup of maps, and it still featured only the original four heroes: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu and Count Dooku.
The mod went down well with audiences, but the intention of the mod was always to have the first 'Phase' as a base and then expand on that base with further 'Phases'.
These 'Phases' would bring the mod to maps new and familiar, such as maps back-ported from other Star Wars: Battlefront games. It would also bring in new heroes.
The time has finally come to announce that "Phase II" of Star Wars: Battlefront Legacy is currently underway. This "Phase" promises to bring several new features to the mod:
- New unit variations
- New and returning maps, including favourites from Star Wars: Battlefront II and maps never-before-seen in the original game, such as Coruscant from the cancelled Free Radical Star Wars: Battlefront III, as well as all-new maps made specifically for this mod
- New heroes and villains
- New weapons
- New vehicles
The completion and release of the first part of "Phase II", which will bring the maps from Star Wars: Battlefront II, will be later this year.
This article explores some of the ideas behind Star Wars: Battlefront Legacy.
The original release included a new "1.2A" patch that disabled certain hardcoded actions, however it only worked for the CD version of the game and not...
PLEASE NOTE: You will require a clean installation of Star Wars: Battlefront, updated to Version 1.2, to run this mod without potential issues. Phase...

Question: Do you have any time frame in mind for when you'll release Phase 2?
It's been a year, but I had actually shelved Phase 2 for a long time. Recently, I decided to reboot it entirely, basing it on the work I've done for Battlefront V1.4 and pulling from the various mods and maps I've done over the years since, so what's presented here isn't going to be what's in the new Phase 2. But, yes: I intend to have Phase 2 out this year (2023). When is something I currently cannot answer, but it is coming.
good to hear this project isnt dead. I rather enjoy this mod
Hype to try this out. Reinstalling!
Very impressed. Balance seems to almost be spot on as far as I can tell from playing a map or 2.

This looks interesting~. ^^
Out of curiosity, does this mod add different clone legions to the game? I ask because I am currently using the Star Fire mod and it has different clone units depending on map. But this mod adds a more lore-accurate Dark Trooper, as well as more weapon variations.
Heya, loved this mod.
The redesigns of the characters are some good, tasty shiz. The factions no longer feel like reskins of each other. I also enjoyed gazing at the many new objects added to the maps, cause it makes me go "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yesssssss."
Heroes are a little wonky to play as, but my juices flow nicely when I spot Han Solo flailing in the distance, slaying them pesky stormtroopers instead of Luke Skywalker (though Luke still slaps some mean a## with his magic twink powers).
Thanks for your impressive work.
