Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy is a large-scale conversion mod created for Battlefront II using as many recovered assets that are available from the cancelled game Star Wars Battlefront 3 by Free Radical; including both eras (Clone Wars and GCW), a brand-new HUD+Interface and a few converted maps such as Coruscant, Cato Neimoidia, Bespin and Dantooine.

BF3 Legacy Multiplayer is here! This is how you can join and all information for it!

The best mod for SWBF2 now has Multiplayer!

BF3 Legacy has an Official Server set up on the SWBFSpy network (Sorry Galaxy Users), while a little complex to set up and join, the server has many active event nights hosted from the Legacy Discord Server:

How to Install:

In order to play BF3: Legacy Multiplayer you will need to modify your game if you are running a digital copy (Steam, Origin, GoG) effectively, making it a disc copy. (Backup if you want to keep Galaxy servers, otherwise you will lose the ability to connect to them) Firstly you will need to download this (Disc users will already have this): Install this folder to the root folder of your installation (Star Wars Battlefront 2 folder or if you are running Legacy independent version Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy)

After doing this you will need to go into the Install folder and open the CDKey.exe, in order to play Multiplayer with other players you would need a new CD Key, which you can get from this video:

Simply choose a random point in the video and copy it into the CDKey.exe, this will ensure everyone has a new unique CDKey.From there if you are running Steam/GoG/Origin you have an additional step, you will need to install the 1.3 patch again this time r129 (The non-steam version) not the r130!!! After this you need to install SWBFSpy from: Info.swbfgamers.comIf you are running the steam version, get the Steam Patch otherwise get the normal version for SWBF2.Note: Steam and GoG Users, after following these steps you will no longer be able to connect to the Galaxy servers, I suggest creating a back up or a duplicate installation.

Multiplayer Update to Legacy: Install to your Gamedata\Addon Folder Still requires 1.0.4 to play Includes 3 New Multiplayer Exclusive Gamemodes (Not all Gamemodes will remain MP Exclusive and are being treated as 'in early access') -Classic Conquest: A modification to Conquest to make it more like SWBF1, AI Heroes, no Locked Classes and removal of most special classes only leaving the Droideka and Jet Trooper like in SWBF1. (Exclusive to our Official Server) -Hero Assault: Hero Assault returns in Early Access (Lacking the 2 new heroes Kit Fisto and Qui Gon Jinn due to limitations) some small sound issues due to the Early Access and the reason why the Update is a big Large. (Exclusive to our Official Server) -Competitive Conquest: A boring and dull version of Conquest based on the ruleset from the BCL Community, no Special Classes, no Heroes, No Vehicles and No Turrets. Designed for 4 v 4s. (Not on our Server's Playlist, Exclusively Client Hosted, so you guys have to create your own servers to play this mode)

I do have on question regarding multiplayer - The one mode I personally find most enjoyable and was really interested in playing with others is *not* available. While the multiplayer runs fine on Neimodia and Coruscant, the Orbital Assault mode is not available.

Is this a permanent thing or is it too unstable for multiplayer at the moment?
