The Armored Assault Tank or AAT was a large
repulsor tank used mainly by the Trade Federation.
The vehicle was designed by Baktoid Armor
factories, with its most important parts placed in
the back.
It carried a payload of 55 missiles, but once it
ran out, it had to return to its carrier to have
its bottom part replaced. Its crew consisted of 4
B-1 battle droids (commander, pilot, 2 gunners).
While relatively quick, it was sluggish compared
to the Gian and Flash Speeders of Naboo.
The AAT continued to see action in the Clone
Wars, fighting on a multitude of worlds, including
Muunilinst. Here, one such tank was hijacked and
destroyed by an ARC trooper on a covert mission
deep within the Muunilinst city of Harnaidan. The
AAT was also seen in action during the Battle of
Coruscant.
