Introducing the latest mod to come to Legacy- The Aftermath.
Star Trek Legacy: The Aftermath is the first mod of its kind, a hybrid mod unique in approach and creation. One part mod the other part tutorial, this mod not only offers a unique playing experience but also encourages the average user to take their game skills to the next level-teaching them how to go about creating their own game.
The tutorial half of the game has been designed to offer up and coming modders the info and encouragement they need to set out on their own mod. Whether they wish to create new game modes or add to the growing list of Historical battles they could create; the know how is there for them to go about and create their own gaming experience.
The mod half, with enhanced AI, challenging scenarios and much more push the foundations of Legacy to make it a different experience each time you play. With many new maps each with their own perils and wonders will see the Legacy engine in a different light. The re-designed interface that carries through every menu throughout the game is to provide a change of scenery to the generic look of the old stock look.
This first hybrid mod for Legacy has many more features yet to come. Additional info and progress can be found at the STL: The Aftermath forums that are being built up

---------------
Been a while but I am putting Battalia Requiem on hold for the moment. It will still be going ahead but at the moment I have no time to work on it at all. Back in February the engine was finalized but since then have seen other things I want to try and so that has come back in for more work. With the races, I am still at 2 confirmed playable races (the Arbitor and Hyrogan races); a third race is still unkown. The Mynnon race is now an NPC race. One race fleet has been designed but no idea who it will be for. Scale is another issue with the game; have been playing around with scale as one structure in the game is around 30km long; the Skybridge. Skybridge is a Citadel like structure.
Maybe in a couple of months things have died down enough for me to get back to working on Battalia Requiem. At the moment I do not have the time to work on it. I havent even had enough time to package up Aftermath 2.5. So late April/early May things should start back up again.

how do you get the graphics so kick *** on here?
Complete rework of Legacy's graphics engine to get what you see in the current lot of video's and screenshots. None of the shots are touched up in anyway except for when they get the promo frame put on them
More problems with the new promo announcement and its the same problems as the one for Aftermath 2.0; export problems. Flash will not export the video properly in avi format.
But there will be a new download added in the next few days
Err are people even playing STL anymore?
i play this mod.... so i still like to play STL
could you make a map called "briorpatch" (not sure how its spelt) it was featured in a star trekmovie, and i think it would be an epic map, with loads of nebulas to avoid and asteroid rings on the planet, a truly epic map to fight in i beleave, hope you do it!
I can make a map like that but wont release it in Battalia Requiem. There are going to be several maps released this year, ones that dont fit in with the release. One map that will be released soon is Nepera Dissi. This map was the last map made for Aftermath 2.0 but was never released. It was to be in Battalia Requiem but it just dont fit in with all the other systems.
Promo for the Battalia Requiem announcement has been selected, it has a mix of shots already shown plus some new ones never seen before. Video treatment is coming together, so far the first two segment treatments are done. All that is left is to select video footage for the promo then release it all this weekend
Is this mod going to be like the last one where every single ship is balanced to the point where anything can beat anything?
I'm only asking cause the last time I played the Aftermath mod i hated the idea of beating a Borg tactical cube with an NX-01 or something even weaker. The challenge was completely taken out of the game with that kind of game balancing
Yes, the new release will be balanced according to gameplay values. Also take into consideration difficulty settings, with Legacy the difficulty settings have damage multipliers applied to them which in reality falsifies its difficulty settings.
The balance is part of a much larger process involving AI, difficulty settings and the actual ships themselves. Battalia Requiem will be alot tougher in terms of gameplay. That is the main focus: gameplay.
The write up is now finished for the official announcement of the new release. All that is left to do now is put together the main promo video for it and maybe 2-3 other videos to go with it. All new promo shots will be taken throughout the week and start using the new logo in them.
