Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.

The new textures really pop! I spend a fair bit of time admiring my empire as expands, and these new details give even more reason to do so. Fantastic work.

Which kind of research? It's desirable to have two types, seeded across the map, in asteroid belts and nebulas.

I hope phasers and shields, preventing capture, included. Well, as long as those shields online.

Description

Shown here is a neutral science outpost, which can be captured by any faction and added to your total number of research structures for no cost. This can give your research a great head-start if captured in the early game.
