I am sure the Ferengi have something similar: "If knowledge is profit then to be unknown, is to be unexploitable."
Correction: attack what your enemy defends by luring him off the intended target by attacking a weak spot in the defenses. Then while the enemy is distracted hit where it hurts him most.

unless you're the borg, they don't care. they can't reveal their true stregnth, they don't care. they always attack, they don't care. Once they know you're there, you can't resist them. They assimilate bit by bit all they can and destroy the rest. They are a force of nature. you can't reason with them. you're raw material.

Yeah... Too bad Sins doesn't have real cloaks. I would love to position a my main fleet in a relatively undefended system and then flank the enemy ships the second they engage the defenses.
