Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Hello folks, sorry for the lack of updates. Allot of real life things going on within the team. Would you believe it if i said someone on the team even got married! Anyway, this little bugger is a ship i wanted to get done for CTA but never got around and its finally making its debut again in 1.2 this allong with some other 359 ships that previously havent seen the light of day.
Sprungfeld Class?
More likely Frühlingsfeld or Quellenfeld Klasse
Here are some more shipclasses translated into German:
Hier sind noch ein paar auf Deutsch übersetzte Schiffsklassen:
Verfassung-Klasse
Galaxis-Klasse
Aufsässig-Klasse
Furchtlos-Klasse
Botschafter-Klasse
Holzwolle-Klasse
Herrscher-Klasse
Woodwool class... (Holzwolle). Oh and galaxie is closer to galaxy.
I mean, no offence but a few of these class names are a tad wierd.
"I did not tame the wild buffalo - it was already tame, I merely shot it!"
359 new ships in 1.2?
as in Wolf 359 ;)
oooh so no new ship... i was like wait.. main new ships cool im down with that, got me all happy it was a lie! cake was a lie!
Yes, they're literally adding 359 new ship classes into CTA for 1.2.
In other news, Sins engines around the world just committed mass suicide.
i love you tim x'D
Right back at you, buddy. ;)
So it was you two who got married then? :p
Meh. I've done worse.
How? Spacewise I mean?
I swear that is a phaser prop someone glued to this ship. Granted that can be said for many of 359 and background ships. The FX team for TNG probably saw the script for Best of Both Worlds and were like. "Oh crap we need a half dozen new ships for the shot" and then proceeded to raid the storage room for bits and bobs.
PS what is this ships roal, other than Klingon gunner traing ;)
Odds are it's the bottom side of a BMP model or some other similar vehicle. They weren't called 'kit-bashes' for nothing. The Challenger used parts from a Typhoon submarine model.
It's role is warp-in support, to hold the line until your main fleet arrives, or to provide some quick reinforcements in a jam.
Glad to see some of these ships get more love, even if you can only warp them in. Half my fed games end with these warp in ships marking up the majority of my fleet, because making mass fighter defence stations warping these is the best end game strategy. Only romulans don't have the option to do this.
Looking good!
Looking forward to this, just enjoting teh STO updates so need to get my major Trek on in RTS too :P
