Remember, we really want to support your creativity, so if you create an amazing map please contact us by PMing us here on moddb and we'd love to see your work. Place the zip file into an easy to locate, separate file and unzip. Navigate the files until you find the galaxy forge .exe and double click. You'll have access to the same tools AND UNLIMITED POWER the devs and myself had access to. If you don't know how to use it, trial and error works and also I might be able to team up with Bane to make a simple how-to video... If anyone is interested, and Bane's up for it...

What would be really useful is a chart showing all planets stats (IE; max Tactical/Logistic slots) and a list of all the effects of the addible bonuses.

I would also say that when you save the map file make sure you save it in the game forge folder and not the map designer folder, the number of times i loaded the map only to get defeated straight away was annoying until i found this out, also when i designed a custom map i needed to buy the dlc Sins: Rebellion Stellar Phenomena to actually play the map but you can get this on steam for £4. I just designed a 3 v 1 borg with a single choke point(called wolf 359) how long can we last !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to set specific planet - specific bonuses? I've managed to set planet bonus/artifact by by setting the map defaults by 0/0 but they come out random - not as i've specified in the forge.

Correction - bonuses are not random - just the names do not correspond
(tip: first 5 bonuses from the list are all positive)

I went through and found what each of the available bonuses are Such as the first bonus listed is Crystal miners but gives the fertile ground buff with +50 Population and +70 Population Growth however not all bonuses are available and some even double up such as both Conductive Interior and Mega Fauna will give Mineral Deposits as the planet buff. Furthermore non of the buffs will give additional tactical slots only logistic slot boosts and the "Iconian defense buff" (the one that has the same effect as fortress world in the default game does not show up in the list at all but I have seen it appear randomly in a previous map I played.

If you're talking having the GalaxyForge installed? No. If you have custom maps, I believe they may need those maps... Though I haven't tried starting a multi-player game with a map only I've got. If you have custom maps but you're not using such a map, it won't cause any issues.

I know I am repeating myself here but since your maps use planetary bonuses that I can't find in the galaxy forge I thought you might have some insight in what I'm doing wrong/not seeing. Doesn't work. I tried starting it and every time I get the mesage that "GalaxyForce.exe has stopped working" right away.

Hello You. I would like to Speak with Bane or Draconis because the Galaxy Forge Mod. I want to build some Maps :) I finished now 2 maps and i have a third at the moment in progress name the Noth-West-Passage (Voyager). I need there some help because Neutral Factions.

I dont know how to make a neutral Colony on a planet without using the Template: Pirate Base.
If i use other Templates i got always only ships but not a colonized planet.

Second i want to ask is how to spawn Species 8472 Ships on Nebulas to make the Passage real.

Would be great if one of them could contact me here n ModDB. or in Steam =OCP= Fran-Viera. If you want we could speak on Teamspeak too (where ImperialCore and so on is) too. would make it maybe easier.

I know its possible to spawn simple units like frigates from any faction for any other faction, but can you spawn a certain faction's starbase for another? i'd love to have a map with a federation controlled Terok Station :P

this mod is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it isnt even sins... ;) so many ships and sounds and lasers!!! theirs outpost spaceports with lasers! and bigger outpost spacepots with lasers lol ... so much fun thank you for this bundle of joy... and i can play with 4 AI :) .. with the halo sins of Prof . i could only have 1ai on hard or 2 on easy lol....

Well I added the 1.0 hotfix to the mod and did not add the english string file and it seams to do less visual glitches and crashes less often for me.. it crashes probebly cu i only have like 2 and a half gigs of ram.. but i also wanted to tell the maker of the mod to please add into the A.I. the ability to attack other A.I. because uhh.. when I am allied to other A.I. THEY will Seariosly just warp ships back and forth from there own owned planetes to there own owned planets not doing jack to help me.. hahaha.. then the borg A.I. does not attack them comes and finds me and i am faceing down one big *** borg cube with 50k hp that shoots like 15 laser beams and kills 3 ships at a time.. and my fleet of like 20 this 6 that anbd 4 capital ships eventualy gets owned when it suddenly has an escort of my own ships plus 2 pyromids owning me.. I Love the mod but it would be nice if the A.I. was doing something to help me or attack or whatever attack each other... stuff like that

Hello. I recently got the Galaxy forge and created a really nice map. For some reason whenever I start up the map there are always certain players that are automatically defeated. Every time I start the map the certain person/their starting location that'd get cut and the number of people getting cut changes, sometimes just one person and sometimes all but one. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Could this be because it is not the same version as the current mod update? Please help me if you can, all advice is welcome. Thanks much.

Same here. Guessing it's out of date with version 1.3? No rhyme or reason for the insta-defeated players occurring that I can find.

I just got it to work. I Made sure the player count was synched up, that all home planets were within star system ranges (and not right on the borders), and created an interstar connection. Hope that helps
