Repair your own weapons while out on a raid or back at base, using other weapons from the same 'weapon-family' as parts.
Break a spare AK-74U down to repair your prized Abakan without paying through the nose at a technician!
Hiring a trader to repair your weapons is an expensive luxury, so why not take matters into your own hands?
Instead of dumping that gun that’s too low-quality to use, why not stash it somewhere and use it to repair your upgraded prize shooter later?

Nope, we're not going for any class system. Agent Degtyarev is an intelligence officer with combat training, not a soldier or scout or sniper or any of that.

NIce feature I know from my own experience, we were all taught how to strip & repair our own weapons, ( not a lot of techs in the field!)
I would point out though that we had a small kit for cleaning our scopes
