A collection of stuff off of the top of my head you can expect to see in the upcoming public beta of Singularity.

Morning Stalkers, it is time for your briefing. The Singularity is... evolving.. learning.. becoming more advanced every day. Here is a list of some things Freedom scouts assigned to observing the Singularity have noted and passed on to your favourite bum, Barkeep, to post on the notice board.

Normal suits will gradually deteriorate in areas of radiation, wear an echologist suit for full protection.

Completely replaced all vanilla weapons with heavily customised weapons from NA6, OWR3, and some independents for the very highest weapons collection quality.

Repositioned many weapons for much more natural relaxed and downsight aiming.

No "cheat zoom" with pistols. You get a little "focus" zoom to emphasis the target being aimed at, but thats it.

New textures, including 4K Parallaxed rock surfaces.

Upgraded engine to OGSR 2.0.852 (fully translated). We have our very own custom 64bit engine in the works based on the OGSR engine but it's not ready for public release yet.

New tasks to complete for Sid, Me (Barkeep), Duty, Freedom, etc

The usual optimisations

New graphical options such as soft water edges, soft particles, depth of field, easily adjustable grass draw distance and density, rainfall water effects, etc.

Many bugfixes, more than could ever be listed here.

New inventory, main menu, loot, and trade UIs

New reflective windows (scope lenses will follow in a beta update)

Further optimisation to particles.xr, on average, roughly up to a 65% improvement. FPS uplift will vary on a per system basis but it should be a decent one.

Other stuff I'm forgetting.

This list is a summarised version but should give you all a good idea to the extent of the improvements, changes and features. Once this public build is ready (no dates just to hold you in suspense but... soon) there are plans to attempt porting of CoP NPC and mutant models, from there we will get our custom 64bit engine up and running which the wizards are working on, offering sacrifices like Flesh eyeballs and hooves of boars where needed, a new main menu is also on the to-do list to modernise things there more and of course squash any and all remaining known bugs. When we have these things done the Singularity core (or purist, if you prefer) edition will be considered complete. At that stage new levels will start to trickle in to builds, work is going on for new levels now and will be tested and debugged with internal builds but in short after the next public beta there will probably be a fairly big update for NPC and mutant models while fixing some additional bugs then after that public builds will start to include new levels. We also have much expanded and new story content but have not got around to implementing any of it, if anyone has time to do some text implementation and proof reading (along with basic XML knowledge) let us know :D A couple scripters, modellers, and people good with the SDK wouldn't hurt either even one more person in each of these areas would substantially cut down on the time needed to finish Singularity.

Awesome work like always! I'm especially interested, in those reflective windows, since I haven't seen them, in another mod before. The suit deterioration sound very interesting as well and I wonder, how you handled it.

The reflective windows are an enhanced version of a cheaply simulated phong reflection model, they look pretty good. We are also looking in to all new methods for reflections but thats above top secret info ;)

I understand, and I have seen some amazing reflections in the newer version of the Shoker mod. But that version is not released yet.

You can consider us like CDPR, when Singularity is ready we will release something, even the beta builds I'm strict with the team I won't let any old turd out the door and hide behind the beta tag it at least needs to be in a reasonably playable state ;)
