S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - PreSky is a Total Conversion mod for Clear Sky, set before the events in Clear Sky begin. Its goal is to provide a fresh new game experience from the point of a regular Stalker within the Zone. This basically means that the mod has complete and total freeplay from the start. PreSky combines some of the best elements and ideas from all 3 games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to produce a brand new gameplay experience within the Zone, with the sole intention of creating a more realistic Stalker experience that aims to make the player believe they are a Stalker. There is no main storyline progression to unlock new areas, or new items for the player. The Zone goes on living regardless of the actions of the player, with a virtually unrestricted alife that makes the Zone seem even more alive and real than it did before. The only storyline is the one you create for yourself.

Hello, What are you planning on doing about the helmet disappearing? Will you do something like I saw somewhere we know. If you are see if you can get it positioned better. It's a great feature but it's position there looked a bit strange. ( They may have moved it by now I dont know).

I do plan on displaying a helmet graphic in the inventory, but given that I'm also planning on redesigning the inventory I don't want to have to reposition the same ui element twice.
I'll finish this script and the inventory redesign at the same time.

Also, this is my own implementation of this feature, and it is done differently from the other wip implementation out there.
(damn 5 minute edit limit)

Will you do the helmet player model feature like Call of Pripyat: Complete has, or just have one helmet model for each suit? I really enjoyed seeing different helemets on every suit in COP Complete, and no other mods have implemented this so far.

I assume you are referring to the npc visuals? If so, different helmets will change the player visual to either the default or a correct, matching visual.
And as this image shows Moddb.com there will be new mesh variations, mostly variations restored from SoC.

Forgot to mute Windows Media Player, and I forgot that Fraps records ALL playing sounds.
And sadly, helmets don't have AM/FM radio's - yet.

Description

Short video showing off equipable helmets within PreSky. The basic functionality of the script is present, although there are a few things left to do before it is finished.
There are 23 suits planned or included at this stage, and 17 of them can take helmets. There are 6 different helmets atm, including the 5 from CoP.
