Full concept MODIFICATION of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat that touches every game aspect including textures, sfx, music, weapons, A.I., items, weather, mutants, difficulty and much much more!
Never seen so much immersion and so much ******** combined into one mod at the same time. I love and hate it. Pros and cons respectively in pairs, rookie mode experience halfway through Yanov.
A-life is fully active through the whole map, allowing areas to be repopulated and depopulated in intervals to realistically catch you off-guard; stealth is practically impossible even in a ghillie suit, yet there are no thermal optics to explain how the mercs shoot me through the fog.
The mutants can run off to get their friends and attack you together; yet they're dumb enough to get themselves caught in anomalies while chasing you, or while running around in circles for hours as though high on crack.
Artifacts are all dangerous anomalous, radioactive materials giving the army actual reason to cordon off stalking, and to pop them into a leaden box with a pair of tongs; they're common as in vanilla yet practically worthless.
You have available the tools to repair, clean, or dismantle weapons on your own; the tools to do this are worth more than the artifacts.
So many new weapons, with many available surplus, old, worn, corroded, or factory new weapons and appropriate silencers, scopes, cartridges, etc; the knife slot and binocular slot have been taken away without giving us buttstrokes, bayonets, or pistol whips.
The jokes told on the bases are translated; I saw several freedoms literally sprint out of Yanov INTO an emission in some suicidal quest for glory.
Mutant parts; they're not worth as much as you'd like.
Your reputation can change the economy to be less awful; the economy is still so awful that you're better off playing the remora instead of earning your keep. A real stalker would shoot you for raiding his kill.
After playing Dead Air, this looks so much worse. And having heard how much better this game was in 1.2 stage, I'm not surprised.
Highest Rated (93 agree) 10/10
Survivor horror at it's finest, although slightly flawed. Once all the kinks are ironed out, this will be the definite Stalker: Call Of Pripyat mod.
